McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Price Dickson, City Fngineer C. E. Pierce, Aldermen; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Minutes of the regular meetiMg held April 5th, 1937, were read and approved. Alderman Sanders moved that the bills be allowed ad approv ed and the Clerk be instructed to draw w•irrants for same upon the proper funds. The mo- tion was seconded by Alderman Bronson and received the unanimous vote of the Council. The annual report of the City Planning Board was read by the Clerk. By motion of Alder- man Peal, seconded by Alderman Cdrter, and duly passed by the Council, the report was ordered received and filed. Air port VII S. Campbell, Sec. of Chambeaf of Commerce, appeared before the Council stating that grounds: a squadron of planes from the Military and Naval Base at Kansas City, Mo., demon- strating aerial training etc, would be in Fayetteville April 17th, and asking the co- operation of the City in interest, entertaining, etc. Dr. T. Be Ward gave a report on the condition of the airport grounds saying that some work would be necessary to make safe landings. Alderman Bronson moved that the mutter of repairs be referred to the Street Committee with power to act. Alderman Ucker seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared. Ord inan c I'o .795 amanded: Alderman Carter made a motion that the Council adjourn Sine Die. The motion was second ed by Alderman Shook and carried unanimously and the Mayor declared the Council ad- journed Sine Die. Attest; ro& O City Ule Approved; Mayor . City Clerk Otoe Phillips then called the neva Council together and administered _the Oath of Office to Mayor A. D. McAllister. Mayor McAllister then administered the Oath d' Office to Aldermen as follows; B. Be Bronson, 1st Ward: J. C. Peal, 2nd Ward; J. K. Gregory, 3rd ward; Geo. T. Sanders, 4th Ward; Also City Treasurer Roy Nix. (Police Judge J. C. Massie was sworn in by City Clerk Otoe Phillips April 13th), Alderman. Sanders moved that the Council go into Executive session. Alderman Bronson seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in Executive session. After discussion of various matters Alderman Shook moved that the Council go out of Executive session. Alderman Ucker seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in regular session. Alderman Sanders moved that the Ordinance Committee be instructed to draw up an 0r%di- nance amending Ordinance No. -795 making it "Cash or surety bond" on cutting pavement. Alderman Ucker seconded the motion which carried unanimously. No further business Alderman Gregory moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hosford and duly passedby the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. Attest; n City Clerk. 0 Approved; Mayor. :i
