Alderman Ucker 25.00 moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. Alderman Hosford seconded the motion which carried 87.50 2;100.00 unanimously and the Mayor so declared. General A bill amounting to $100.85 covering expenses of City General Election to be held 45.00 Election April 6th was presented. After discussion Alderman Sanders moved that the bill be allowed. Alderman Peal seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the 50.00 Fee: Council present. The report of City Inspector Clyde Walters was read. Alderman Bronson moved that the 150.00 1,800.00 report be received and filed. Alderman Shook seconded the motion which was duly $52880.00. passed by the Council. . A petition was presented signed by 6 plumbers asking that a change be made as to plumbiinspector. No action was taken. Plumbing Aldermara made a motion that the Mayor procure copies of plumbing Ordinances from other Cities for study, XXXXTt.M Alderman Sanders seconded the motion which carried ordinance: unanimously. Alderman Sanders moved that the Council go into Executive session. Alderman Ucker 22500.00 seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in Executive session. After discussion bf various matters Alderman Sanders 1,250.00 moved that the Council go out of Executive session. Alderman Hosford seconded the mo- $61250.00. tion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared. the Council in regular session* as prepared by the Finance Committee. Budget; The Budget for 193Naas discussed at length. Alderman Shook moved its adoption. L85 $111934.00. 7,500.00. $43,072,00. 6,322.00 An Ordinance was introduced by Alderman B. B. Bronson entitled "An Ordinance to fix th' salaries of certain City Officials of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas." The Ordinance was read the first time in its entirety by the Clerk. Alderman Sanders moved that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed on its second reading. The motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson and received the entire vote of the Council present. The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time. After discussion Alderman Ucker moved that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance be placed on its third and final reading. Alderman Peal seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the Coun- cil present and the Clerk read the Ordinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass". On the Clerk's calling the roll the following vote resulted; Ayes; Bronson, Darter, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays; none. Absent and not voting; Gregory. The Mayor declared the Ordinance passed as there were 7 Ayes and no Nays. I I Ordinance No. 796.E An Ordinance to be entitled "An Ordinance to fix the Salaries of certain City Official of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas". Be it Ordained by trhe City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Section One; The Officers of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, herein mentioned shal be paid and receive the following salaries and in no event additional compensation in the way of fees, fines or perquisites, but all such fees, fines or perquisites shall b paid into the City Treasury; A. The Mayor shall be paid and receive the sum of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) per annum, payable monthly. B. The City Treasurer shall be paid and receive the sum of One Hundred and Twenty Dollars (.;'120.00) per annum, payable monthly. C. The Police Judge shall be paid and receive the sum of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) -per annum, payable monthly. D. The City Clerk shall be paid and receive the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) per annum, payable monthly. E. The City Attorney shall be paid and receive the sum of Four hundred and Eighty Dollars ($480.00) per annum, payable monthly. F. The Aldermen shall be paid and receive the sum of Three Dollars ($3.00) for each meeting at which they may be in attendance. Section Tido; All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby re- pealed and an emergency is hereby declared, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after April 12, 1937. By motion of Alderman Bronson seconded by Alderman Ucker and duly passed -by the Council a separate vote was taken on the Emergency Clause resulting as follows; Ayes; Bronson, Carter, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays; none. Absent and not voting; Gregory. The Mayor declared carried as there were 7 Ayes and no Nays. Civil se v Alderman Sanders moved that the Mayor appoint a Committee of three to meet with the Commitee City Civil -Service Commission from time to time to discuss matters which may arise. Alderman Hosford seconded the motion which carried and the -Mayor named as this Committee (Three) Aldermen Hosford, Ucker and Sanders, No further business Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn.
