McAllister., City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer C. E. Pierce, Aldermen Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peel, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker. Absent; Alderman Bronson. Minutes of the regular meeting held March lst, 1937, were read and approved. Alderman Hosford Chief, J. C. Lassie as Police Judge, Otoe Phillips as City Collector and as City Cleric seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared. Old Air- The matter of renting the old Airport property for pasturage was discussed. A. C. No further business Alderman Hosford moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Alderman Ucker and duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. Alderman Bronson introduced an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to amend Sections One and Two of Ordinance No. 420 of the Ordinances of the City of Faye`teville, Ark- ansas", The Clerk read the Ordinance the first time in its entirety. Alderman Gregory moved that the rules be suspended and. the Ordinance be placed on its second reading. Alderman Hosford seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the Council. The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time. Alderman Sanders moved that the rules be further suspended and the Ordinance be placed on its third and final reading. Alderman Bronson seconded the motion which carried unanit.,ously. The Clerk then read the Ordinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass". On the Clerk's calling the roll the following vote resulted; Ayes; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker. Nays; None, The Payor declared the Ordinance passed as there were 8 Ayes and no Nays. Alderman Gregory moved that the Emergency Clause be voted on senarately. Alderman Carter seconded the motio•. which carried unanimously. The vote on the Emergency Clause resulted in the following vote; Ayes; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker. Nays; None, The Mayor declared the Emergency Clause carried as there were 8 Ayes ar_d no Nays. Alderman Bronson moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper finds. Alderman Peal seconded the motion which carried unanimously. The need of First Aid Kit and Tannic Acid Spray was presented X?§t to the Council by Fire Chief Clyde Walters, for the Fire Dept. After discussion Alderman Sanders made a motion that the Fire Chief be authorized to purchase these needed supplies. The mo- tion was seconded by Alderman Carter and received the entire vote of the Council.
