Mayor McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips; City Attorney Price Dickson,City Engineer C. E. Pierce. Aldermen: Bronson, Carter, Grez-..ory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook.Absent: Alderman Ucker. Minutes of the regular meeting held February 8th, were read and approved. Alderman Gregory moved th It the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instruct- ed to draw warrants for same upon the properfunds, Alderman Bronson seconded the motion' which received the tire vote of the council present and the Mayor so declared. The following resorts for the month of January, 1937,were presented; Clyde Walters as Fiee Chief, J. C. Massie as Police Judge, Otoe Phillips as City Clerk and -is Collector also the annual report for the year 1936, and copy of the Audit of the City Water Plant. Alderman Sanders moved that the reports be received and filed. Alderman Shook seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor so ordered. A list of Office equipment to be, purchased from E. IA. Ratliff Estate at the low fig- ure of 4p'95.00 was presented. After discussion Alderman Bronson moved that this pur- chase be made, Alderman Peal seconded the motion which carried unanimously. Mayor McAllister extended an invitation to the Council from the City Library Board to attend the opening in their new quarters in the new City Building on Feb. 22nd. This being the night for regular Council meeting, Alderman Gregory moved. that the Council meeting be postponed till Tuesday, Feb. 23rd. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hosford and received the entire vote of the Council present. The matter of extra expenses to A. F. Shumate in hauling City prisoners to and from work vias brought to the attention of t"'e Council, After discussion Alderman Sanders moved that an additional $2.50 per week be XdX&V UYLXXIX allowed A. F. Shumate to : "take care of this extra expense till furi.her notice. The motion was seconded by Alder man Carter and carried unanimously. Alderman Bronson moved that the Council go into executive session. Alderman Shook seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in executive session. After discussion of various matters, Alderman Gregory moved that the Council go out of executive se^sion. Alderman_ Peal seconded the mo- tion whicl, was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in reg- ular session. No further business Alderman Bronson moved to adjourn. Alderman Bronson moved.that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the p oper funds. Alderman Ilosford seconded. the motion which received the entire vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared. connection Cut J. T. Uright asked permission to make sewer�at 620 North Leverett st., and W. S, Pavement; Duggans asked permission to cut pavement for making; sewer connection on East Spring Street for J. C. Massie and for masking sewer and water connection for Continental Oil,Company at West Dickson and Locust streets. Alderman Ucker moved that these permits be granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Aderman Sanders, and carried unanimously, City Engineer Alderman Sanders moved that the Ordirn nce Committee be instructed to drW4 up an Ordi- to nance amending Ordinance No. 420 requiring applications to cut pavement to be presente Pass on; to City Engineer, City to repair streets at cost of applicant to be, paid from deposit required. Alderman Bronson seconded he motion which carried NANAi unanimously and the Mayor so declared, T I
