McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer C. E. Pierce, Aldermen Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker. Bills; The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee; Bohe Gro. $1.66, S, W. Bell Telephone Co. $47.59, R. E. Shar $2.50, 0. Alderman Gregory moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. Alderman Carter seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared. ,iquor W. D. Alderman Ucker seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the Council. Resig- nation The resignation of Oliver Lollar as City Inspector was read by the Clerk. Alderman Lollar; Sanders moved that the resignation be accepted to take effect at the expiration of his three months lief of absence. Alderman Hosford seconded the motion which carried unanimously. applica- tion D '' Read City Ins The application of D. VI. Read for the place of City Inspector was presented. By mo- tion of Alderman Gregory, seconded by Alderman Peal, and duly passed by the Council, the application was ordered received and filed. t. Mayor McAllister stated to the Council that 262 ft of 4 inch pipe suitable for use in the new City Building could be purchased from McGeorge Construction Co. for the Gregory moved that the 4" pipe sum of $135.00. Bldg. anr7 the Mayor declared The Arkansas Western Gas Co. asked permission to cut the asphalt top on Ida, at Lafayette, and to break a 3" hole in Watson Street for a tie-in. Alderman Carter moved that this permission be granted under supervision of the City Engineer. The motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and carloied unani.moasly. i Se,-Fer Alderman Gregory of the Committee to investigate sewer nuisances reported that the Nuisance Sewer Commissioners agree to lay adequate lines on Boles Street, requiring the City td furnish.necessary grades. Alderman Bronson moved that the Council go into Executive session. Alderman Shook seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in executive session. After discussing various matters Alderman Ucker moved that the Council go out of executive session. Alderman Carter seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor declared the Council in regular session. Alderman Ucker made a motion that the Ordinance Committee be instructed to prepare an ordinance fixing the salaries of certain elective officers. Alderman Sanders sec- onded the motion which carried unanimously. No further business Alderman Gregory moved that the Council adjourn.
