McAllister, laity Clerk Otoe Phillips, Cit- Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer C. E. Pierce, Aldermen; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker. Minutes of the regular meeting held December 28th, 1936, were read and approved. Alderman Bronson moved that the bills be allowed as ar,proved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. Alderman Ucker seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor so de- clared. Resoluti n; Alderman Gregory introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption; Resolution. 00 IL 04 s's Whereas it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Ark- ansas, that all persons, firms and corporations wishing to pay their motor vehicle taxes and license fees due to the City of Fayetteville, promptly. should be granted a reduction on the regular fees charged; Novi, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that all regular motor vehicle license fees due to the City of Fayette- ville, Arkansas, be and the same are hereby reduced forty (40) percent which re-, duction shall be and remain in full force and effect unitl the close of business on January 31st, 1937, at which time the reduction granted in this resolution shall expire and the rates of motor vehicle license fees in force immediately prior to the passage of this resolution shall again be in full force and effect. Alderman Bronson seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared. Alderman Hosford read letters from Fort Smith and Pine Bluff regarding compulsory insurance for taxi companies, but daid his Committee is making further investiga- tion. Alderman Gregory moved that the Council go into executive session. Alderman Hos- ford seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council andnthe Mayor de- clared the.Council in executive session. After discussion of various matters Alder- man Sanders moved that the Council go out of executive session. The motion was sec- onded by Alderman Gregory, duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council in regular session. No further business Alderman Bronson made a motion that the Council adjourn. The motion was seconded by Alderman Shook and carried unanimously and the Mayor de- clared the Council adjourned. /µ �p Attest; _ Approved; smss Ci y C er-. Mayor. New Alderman Sanders reported for the Street Committee relative to the opening of a new Street: street parallel with College Ave. in the North part of the 6ity, recommending that the City not accept property for a new street unless the street is at least 40 feet wide. Alderman Carter moved that the report be accepted. The motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson and carried unanimously. Sewer Alderman Gregory of the Sewer Nuisance abatement Committee reporters that the Committe Nuisancel: expected to meet with the Sewer Commission to work out some satisfactory arrange - I' .
