Fayetteville Citji Council met in regular session Monday, November 16th, 1936.
Present; Mayor A. D. McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Price Dickson, City
Engineer C. E. Pierce, Aldermen; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders,
Shook, and Ucker.

Thematter of correcting sidewalk conditions at the Harbison residence on East
Springy Street was brought to the attention of the Council. By motion of Alderman
Gregbry, seconded by Alderman Hosford, and duly passed by.the Council, the matter
was referred to the Street Committee to work out.
1- A petition signed by several property owners in the neighborhood asking that certain
corners of properties at the intersection of Maple and Highland be out in order that
the Streets be made safer for travel, was read by Alderman Hosford. After discussion
Alderman Ucker moved that the City bear necessary expenses of such work if, and
when, right-of-way be donated. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hosford and
carried"unanimously.
No further business Alderman Hosford moved that the Council adjourn. The motion
was seconded by Alderman Shook and duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared
the Council adjourned.

Alderman Ucker moved that the bills
be allowed
as approved and the Clerk be
instructed
to draw warrants for same upon the
proper funds.
The motion was seconded by
Alderman
Bronson and carried unanimously.
An application to put in a liquor store at No. 7, East Mountain Street by Sam Evans
was read by the Clerk. Alderman Carter moved that the Mayor appoint a Committee to
investigate the matter. The motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and duly passed by
the Council. The Mayor named the Ordinance Committee for this duty.
Alderman Bronson introduced the following Resolution, and moved its adoption;
Be It Resolved; That the Citizens Bank of Fayetteville, Ark., be designated as the
Depository for the funds of the Sewer Disposal Plant, and that the Collector of said
funds be required to keep said funds in said Depository.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unanimously.
The matter of fixing license fees for -snooker parlors, Bowling alleys, and domino
parlors was discussed. By motion of Alderman Hosford, seconded by Alderman. Shook,
and duly passed by the Council, the Ordinance Committee was instructed to prepare
an Ordinance for presentation covering this matter.
Bids on Road Patrol for City Street work by the following CompaniesT.were opened;
E. A. Martin Machinery Co., Lyons Machinery Co., Kern -Limerick, Standard Equipment
Co., and Phillips Motor Co. Representatives from the Firms were heard at length as
to the merits of the different machines. After much discussion Alderman Sanders
moved that the City buy The Galion Standard Motor Patrol from the Lyons Machinery
Co. at a price of $2885.00, subject to the approval of the Board of Public Affairs.
Alderman Ucker seconded the motion. On the Clerks calling the roll the following
vote resulted; Ayes; Bronson, Gregury, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker.
Nays; Carter. The Mayor declared carried as there were 7 Ayes and 1 Nay.
Alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman Ucker and duly passed by the
Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.
