'12.75, Fayetteville Daily Democrat seconded the motion which was duly passed $10.36, Gene Sharp $1.00, Morris Stevens $1.00, Fayetteville Lbr & Cement Co. $325.82 the Coun- James Bohannon,$12.00, Elmer Weir $12.50, Ben Porter $17..50, -Fayetteville Lbr & cil. The Mayor designated the. Cement Co. $8.98, Ed Black $12.00, A. F. Shumate $20.00. Alderman Shook moved that th purpose. bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. The motion was seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unani- mously. Lower Sidewalk Ivan Williams, representing Continental Oil Co., appeared before the Council asking permission to lower sidewalk at the corner of Dickson and Locust for a filling sta- tion. After discussion Alderman Sanders moved that this permission be granted under, supervision of the City Engineer. Alderman Sanders moved that W P A the Mayor appoint a committee of three to go to Fort Smith for the purpose of con - Street tatting Mr. Hutledge and the contractors for a similar IPPA project to gain needed Paving information. After discussion ghland Alderman Ucker moved that the City bear necessary expenses of such work if, and when, right-of-way be donated. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hosford and carried"unanimously. No further business Alderman Hosford moved that the Council adjourn. Shop $2.00, A. F. Shu- mate $20.00, Ed Black $12.00, Harper Brush Works $7.50, Salsbury Gen. Shop $0.25. Alderman Ucker moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. The motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson and carried unanimously. An application to put in a liquor store at No. 7, East Mountain Street by Sam Evans was read by the Clerk. Alderman Carter moved that the Mayor appoint a Committee to investigate the matter. The motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and duly passed by the Council. The Mayor named the Ordinance Committee for this duty. Sewer Service Alderman Bronson introduced the following Resolution, and moved its adoption; Deposi- Be It Resolved; That the Citizens Bank of Fayetteville, Ark., be designated as the tory; Depository for the funds of the Sewer Disposal Plant, and thet the Collector of said funds be required to keep said funds in said Depository. The motion was seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unanimously. The matter of fixing license fees for snooker parlors, Bowling alleys, and domino parlors was discussed. By motion of Alderman Hosford, seconded by Alderman. Shook, and duly passed by the Council, the Ordinance Committee was instructed to prepare an Ordinance for presentation covering this matter. Bids on Road Bids on Road Patrol for City Street work by the following Companies?�Lwere opened; Patrol; E. A. Martin Machinery Co., Lyons Machinery Co., Kern -Limerick, Standard Equipment Co., and Phillips Motor Co. Representatives from the Firms were heard at length as to the merits of the different machines. After much discussion Alderman Sanders moved that the City buy The Galion Standard Motor Patrol from the Lyons Machinery Co. at a price of 2885.00, subject to the approval of the Board of Public Affairs, Alderman Ucker seconded the motion. On the Clerks calling the roll the following vote resulted; Ayes; Bronson, Gregury, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Ucker. Nays; Carter. The Mayor declared carried as there were 7 Ayes and 1 Nay. Alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman. Ucker and duly passed by the /ouCouncLil and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. V%'^i �yL 11 i 11
