laid out and expended, and that he have execution therefor:'

City Engineer C. E. Pierce: Alderman Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders,
and Ucker. Absent: Alderman Shook.
Minutes of the regular meeting held October 5th,1936, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee: W. S. Duggans 31 cents; Southwest Gas & Electric Co.(sewing
project lights) $$1.50; S. G. Adams & Co. $27.20;Skelle Oil Co. 437.00; E. A. Martin
Machinery Go. '$13.86; M. S. Gabbard $1.06; Ben Porter $17.50; A. F. Shumate $20.00;
Elmer Weir $$10.00; Jas Bohanan $11.00;Otis Weir $1.25; Alderman Bronson moved that the
bills be allowed as approved, and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants upon the

as City Clerk and Collector, and J. C. Massie Police Judge. Alderman Carter moved
that these reports be received and filed; seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried
unanimously.
Cut Curb:
A request was read from A. Be Upton to cut curb at the.corner of West Maple and
Vandeventer to allow a drain tile to go through the curb. Alderman Bronson moved
that this permit be granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman
Gregory, and carried,liunanimously.
Cut Curb:
A request was read from Dr. Alfred Hathcock to cut curb for a private drive on the
corner of Washington and Lafayette Avenues. Alderman Gregory moved that the permit be
granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Hosford and duly
passed by the Council.
City's
The worn condition of the City's Seal was discussed. Alderman Bronson moved that the

Clerk be instructed to purchase a new filler for the seal; seconded by Alderman Carter
and carried unanimously.
Insur-
Alderman Hosford reported on insurance rates on new building, also on Sewer Disposal

Plant. After discussion, Alderman Hosford moved that insurance on Sewer Disposal

Plant be placed with Renner -Carmichael Agency, seconded by Alderman Bronson, and
unanimously passed by.the Council.

The matter of utility bills for WPA Bowing Project was discussed at length. Alderman

to apply on WPA Spwing Project utility bills. The motion was seconded by Alderman
Bronson and received the entire vote of the Council present.

Alderman Hosford-seconded the motion. On the Clerks calling the roll the following

Ucker. Nays; None. The Mayor declared carried as there were eight Ayes and no Nays.
