AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED: "Ali ORDINANCE TO NAME A STREET RUNNING EAST AND WEST IN LEVERETT'S SECOND ADDITION AND LEVERETT'S THIRD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FAiE4TTEVILLE, ARKANSAS". WHEREAS, a plat of Leverett's Second Addition and a plat of Leve ett's Third Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, have been filed in all recta as required by law, in which plats dedication for street.. purposes have been made and adopted by the City Council of.the.gity-of-.Psyetteville, Arkansas, and WHEREAS said plats fail to designate a name for a street running East and West between Blocks "B" and "C" in Leverett's second Addition between Lihdell and Garland Avwnues, and a continuation of said street between Blocks "2" and "3" in Leverett's Third Addition aforesaid between Leverett and Storer Aver3ues,3and, WHEREAS, it is necessary that said street be aseignedra name, and property owners adjacen to said street have suggested that said street be known and designated as "Caraway Street?; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville Arkansas,that the straet herein above described lying between Blocks "B" and t'C" and running between Lindell and Garland Aveunues in Leverett's Second Addition and lying between Blocks 112" and "3" and running between Leverett and Storer Avenues in Leverett's Third Addition, be, and the same is hereby designated and named "Caraway' Street". Aldermat Hosford moved that the Mayor appoint a Committeeof three to investigate rates and amount of insurance to be carried by public carriers; seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously. The Mayor appointed Aldermen: Hosf Ord, Uckerr and Saook, as thi: Committee. Ways and means of collecting revenue for Sewer Disposal Plant were discussed at length, Alderman Bronson moved that the Council go into Executive Session, seconded by Alderman Hosford,and carried unanimously; and the Mayor declared the Council in Execu- tive Session. Alderman Ucker moved that the Council go out of Executive Session, seconded by Aldermar Shook, and carried unanimously; and the May6r declared the Council out of Exeeut:hre Session. Alderman Bronsom made a motion, seconded by Alderman Ucker that the bills be allowed as approved, and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. Alderman Sanders moved that these reports be turned to the Auditing Committee, seconded by Alderman.Bronson, and carried unanimously Report of Acting Chief of Police Earl Hand i'or the month of September was read. Alderm Bronson moved that the report be received and filed; seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously. Alderman Carter moved that these reports be received and filed; seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously. Cut Curb: A request was read from A. B. Upton to cut curb at the corner of west Maple and Vandeventer to allow a drain tile to go through the curb. Alderman Bronson moved that this permit be granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Gregory, and carried••unanimously. Cut Curb: A request,was read from Did. Alfred Hathcock to cut curb for a private drive on the corner of Washington and Lafayette Avenues. Alderman Gregory moved that the permit be granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Hosford and duly passed by the Council. Alderman Bronson moved that the Seal Clerk be,instructed to purchase a new filler for the seal; seconded by Alderman Carter and carried unanimously. Insur- Alderman Hosford reported on insurance rates on new building, also on Sevier Disposal ance Plant. After discussion, Alderman Hosford moved that insurance on Sewer Disposal rates: Plant be placed with Renner -Carmichael Agency, seconded by Alderman Bronson, and unanimously passed by.the Council.
