Set-up Alderman Ucker, Chairman bf the Sewer Committee, read a letter from Alexander Alla6.re,
of stating that a man would be available in a few days to assist in making the set-up
ewer for collection of Sewer Disposal Plant funds. The matter was carried over until
Disposal Monday September 21st, regular Council meeting.
Records: Alderman Gregory reported that the Committee appointed to work with the Mayor on
ars to traffic congestion, recommends that cars be marked hourly from 8:00 A. M. to 6: 00 P. M

ant: A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
AND RELATING TO THE OPERATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS the City of Fayette ille, Arkansas, has heretofore authorized the construction
'Find equipment ofa Sewage Treatment Plant to be financed through the Federal, Emergency
Administration of Public Wo rka identified as Docket No. Ark. 1014-R,and
WHEREAS, the construction of said project has been completed and said equipment purchas
e �anfinstalled, and
Whereas, the Engineer has made a final inspection of said project and reports that all
cons ruction work has been completed and said equipment purchased and installed in accor
ance with the Plans and Specifications relating thereto and has approved same.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS, as follows:
1. It is hereby determined that construction work on the Sewage Treatment and
the purchase and installation of said equipment therefor have been completed in accordan
with the approved Plans and Spec ificatior_s.
2. The report of the Engineer approving the completion of said construction wo
and the purchase and installation of said equipment is, in all respects, hereby accepted
ratified and approved.
3. It is hereby further determined and declared that said project, being in -al
respects satisfactory to said City of Fayetteville is now operated as of the

resulted in the following vote: Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Gregory, Hosford, Shook and

R E S 0_L U T I O N
educing WHEREAS, a number of motor driven vehicles have recently been brought within the
jurisdiction of the City of Fayettev U le Arkansas, and
uto WHEREAS, it is equitable that moto kiehiclers operated upon the Streets of the City
icense of Fayetteville, Arkansas, for only the latter part of the year 1936 should not be
required to pay a City License in an equal amount to the license for a full ,year,
NOW,THEREEORE, Be it resolved by the pity Council of the City of Fayette ville,Arkansas,
that the Mayor of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,be, and he is hereby authorized
to issue a proclamation remitting fifty percent (50%) of the annual City Licenses on
motor driven vehicles, operating upon the streets of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
and now subject to the payment of a City license aforesaid, provided that this resoluti
shall be effectiv4s of September lst, to December 31st,1936, and shall cover that
period of time,provided further that all motor driven vehicles operated upon the street
of the City of Fayetteville, wIhich,��_n_--der the Ordinance of the City of Fayetteville wer
subject and liable for a motor vehic�i'S'the City of Fayetteville prior xxxxs to
September lst,1936,shall not be entitled to the benefits of this resolution, and are
hereby specifically excepted.
Alderman Bronson moved the adoption of this Resolution, seconded by Alderman Hosford an
carried unanimously.

The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk. Alderman Gregory moved that the

Ordinance be placed on its second reading, s; --ad seconded by Alderman Carter. This motion
received the entire vote of the Council, and the Clerk read the Ordinance the second
time. Alderman Ucker then made a motion wnich was seconded by alderman Carter that the
rules be further suspended and the Ordinance placed on its third and final read-ing. This
motion was duly passed by the Council, and the Clerk read the Ordinance the third and
final time. The Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass". On the Clerk

calling the roll, the following vote resulted: Ayes: Aldermen: Bronson, Carter, Gregory
Hosford., Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays: None. The Mayor declared the Ordinance
passed*
