McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer C. E. Pierce. Aldermen: Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, �Pes1San ders, Shook and Ucker. — Minutes of the regular meeting held. August 10,1936,were read and ap proved. Bills:The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee, whereupon Alderman Gregory moved that the bills be allowed as approved, and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper fund; seconded by Alderman Bronson and received the unanimous vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared and instructed the Clerk: Russell Winters $y1.50; Me S. Gabbert 88 cts; S. E. Evans Contractor $2.17; Ben Porter $17.50; Jim Gibson §12.00; A. F. Shumate Aft 0. W. Staplevon $2.50; Eugene Sharp $2.50. Official Reports of City Clerk and Collector anO Police Judge for the month of July .,+ere read. July Alderman Carter moved that these reports be received and filed, seconded by Alderman Reports: Ucker and carried unanimously. Request was read from Southwest Bell,Telephone go., to cut sidewalk on S)utheast corner WBell of Maple and Highland to place cable under ground on Maple street. Alderman Sanders rel Co. moved that this permit be granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alder. man Shook, and carried unanimously. N.S.Pol- Karl Greenhaw, Attorney, presented the claim of We S. Pollard against Improvement Dis- ard trict No.31 for refund of $100. covering five annual payments on the paving assessed vs against Davidson's Second Addition Blk 81 pt lots 7& 81 $20.00 each, stating_ that the Im_p. #311 property is not in the District. Alderman Sanders moved that the Council redommend to Commissioners that if they find the property out of the District that the money paid in be refunded to Mr. Pollard; seconded by Alderman Bronson, and carried unanimous. ly. Gulf Gulf Refining Co.,�asked that they be allowed to remove equipment from outside of Refining- Airport. Alderman Gregory moved that this request be granted and lease cancelled, Co. seconded by Alderman Bronson and carried unanimously. Atty's Attorney's bill for $100* for passing on purchase of City Building was presented. Fee Alderman Ucker moved that this bill be paid, seconded by Alderman Shook, and carried City Bldg:unanimously, and the Clerk was instructed to draw warrant.for the amount. Eldo Mayor McAllister presented a request from Eldo Cole, asking for additional duties as Cole stop -sign watcher,making full time service. Alderman Carter moved that this be referrer in re to a Committee of three to be appointed by the Mayor, seconded by Alderman Bronson and full tim :carried unanimously. The Mayor appointed the Finance Committee to act on this. No further business, Alderman Sanders moved that the Council adjourn. Alderman Bronson seconded 'the motion which received the entire vote of the Council. The Mayor declared the Council adjourned. 4 Attest: YL ' Approved: Clerk Mayor. Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook ^nd Ucker. Absent: City Clerk Otoe Phillips; Alderman Bronson acting as Clerk of the Session. 2.1inutes of the regular meeting -.held August 17,1936, were read and approved. Shumate $20.00; Jim Gibson $12.0.0; Bossmyer-McBride $20.40; Ozark Grocer Company $5.61. Alderman Ucker made a motion, seconded by Alderman Shook , that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion received the entire vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared. Cut Curb A request was read from J. C. Massie to cut curb at 420 North Willow st., to make J.C.P.?ass�e driveway. Alderman Gregory moved that this permit be granted under supervision of 420 N P'i,- City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Carter arxi carried unanimously ] lov st: I Report of City Inspector, Oliver Lollar for the month ending August 24, was read. Alderman Peel moved that this report be received and filed; seconded by Alderman City Ins Carter and carried unanimously. Auust Report: Paul Lewis appeared before the Council recommending passage clf an Ordinance to eliminate Radio interference from electrical appliances and machinery. Alderman Electrica Sanders moved that the Ordinance Committee meet with Mr Lewis to work out a suitable al Intora Ordinance; seconded by Alderman Bronson and carried unanimously. ference: A request was received from VP. Alderman Sanders moved that the Mayor appoint a Sewing Committee of.three to act with him in the matter, seconded by Alderman Hodford and Center: received the unanimous vote of the Council. The Mayor appointed Aldermen Hosford, Ucker and Sanders as this Committee.
