McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Atty., Price Dickson, City - Engineer Co E. Pierce. Aldermen Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Sh and Ucker. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills. The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal Chairman of the Auditing Committee: Jack Roberts $2.00; Fayetteville Daily Democrat 3.56; H. Be Walker, Circuit Clerk $7.00; Republic Printing Co. $6.50; Thayer Shelton $46.89; ..- Skelley Oil Co. $13.60:and $80.57;.Earl Bird $10.00; Ben Porter $$17.50; Jim Gibson 112.00; A. F. Shumate 420.00; Elmer Wp�kir $2.50; George Wagner $10.00; Earl Swaggerty 1.50; Joe Campbell $16.00; Salsbury General Shop $1.50; L. C. Hilton $58.80 and 251.76, Alderman Carter. moved that these bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same uponithe proper funds seconded by Alder man Bronson, and carried unanimously. Sewer With reference A bill for $24.05 for preliminary expenses incurred by City officials in connection Disposal Blk 4 with Sewer Dispoal Project, same having been paid out of City's General Fund, was Prelimi- 0 T. presented to the Council for their approval, so that the City could be re-imbursed nary. from Sewer Project Fund No.1014-R. Alderman Gregory moved that this bill be appro, bill: seconded by Alderman Hosford and carried unanimously. Carter, and upon the motion being put before .C.Massid J. C. Massie asked for permit to cut curb 420 Willow st., to make driveway. Alderman ermit Ucker moved that this permit be granted under supervision of City Engineer, seconded 20 Will ny Alderman Gregory and carried unanimously. H. McI - J. H. Mcllroy asked permission to cut pavement on Center st.,side of Block 25 Origins: ;y permi Town to make water connection. Alderman Bronson: moved that this permit be granted Center under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Carter and unanimously treet: passed by the Council. Alley With reference to opening Alley between Dickson and Spring streets in Block 4 Origi Blk 4 Town, Mr Homer Pearson appeared for the property owners who did not want the Alley 0 T. opened and read' twenty one (21) affidavits of residents and former residents that Alley has never been opened. Alderman Gregory moved that these affidavits be recei and filed, seconded by Alderman Carter, and upon the motion being put before the Council received a unanimous vote in favor of same. ley After discussion, Alderman Ucker moved that the petition to have this alley opened k 4 'be rejected, seconded by Alderman Sanders, and upon the question being put before T the Council resulted in the following vote: Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Carter, Gregory, jeeted: Hosford., Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays: None. The Mayor declared carried as there were eight Ayes and no ways, f or ry ewer isposal' upplies: I Alderman Shook of the Finance Committee reported no recommendation on the L. B. Stone property for City Library. Alderman Sanders moved that this matter be Continu- ed with the Finance Committee, seconded by Alderman Carter and carried unanimously.,, Need of supplies for the Sewer Dispoal ((41 ',,, was presented by the I:4ayor. Alderman Bronson moved that the Mayor be authorized to purchase needed supplies, seconded by Alderman Carter and carried unanimously. . .
