carried as there were four Ayes and three Nays.

ity equipment, stating that the wreckage of the Courthouse in Kansas City had made possible

Committees go to Kansas City, expe eFi paid,to investigate this equipment, and be given
power to act, seconded by Alderma and upon the question being put before the
Council resulted in a unanimous vote in favor of same.

Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday July 13.9 1936 8:00 P M.
Present:
Mayor A. D. McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Atty., Price Dickson, City
Engineer C. E. Pierce. Aldermen: Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook and
Ucker. Absent: Alderman Bronson.
Minutes of the regular meeting July 6th,1936, were read and approved.
Bills:
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee:Fayetteville Daily Democrat x$58.24; Southwest Bell Telephone.
Company x$57.05; A. F. Shumate $20.00; Jim Gibson $12.0010 Phillips Motor Co.
X9$12.82,
Ben Porter x$17.50; Salsbury General Shop x$4.00; Harper Brush Works $6.88. Alderman
Ucker moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk instructed to issue
warrants in payment of same; seconded by Ald. Shook and carried unanimously.
Hearing:
The hearing regarding issuing building permit to J. H. McIlroy to erect a business

on Southeast corner of Dickson and East streets, came before the Council,
