Fayetteville City Council met in regularsession June 8th,1936sm8: P M.
Mayor A. D. McAllister,City Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer C. E. Pierce.
Earl Hand acting Chief of Police. Alderman: Bronson, Carters Gregory,Hosford, Peal,
Sanders,.:xxxx, and Ucker. Absent: City Clerk, Otoe Phillips; Alderman Bronson acting
as clerk of the session. Alderman Shook also absent.
Minutes of the regular meeting Monday June lst,1936 were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman
of the Auditing Committee;Southwest Gas & Electric Co. $321.61; Fayetteville Daily
Democrat $5.92; Bossmyer-McBride $4.81; Jim Gibson $12.00; A. F. Shumate $20.00;
Ben Porter $17.50; Joe Baker $4.00; E. E. Powers $1.00; Fayetteville Lumber & Cement
Comapny $121.66;Bossmyer-McBride $1.02; Earl Bird $2.00; Lewis Chevrolet $7.18.
Alderman Bronson moved that these bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk instrue
to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same; seconded by Alderman Uck
and carried unanimously.
Reports of the City Clerk and Collector for•,the month of May were read. Alderman
Sanders moved that these reports be received and filed; seconded by Alderman Peal,
and duly passed by the Council.
Dr. Be F. McAllister appeared before the Council representing the Civil Service
C ®mission, asking in regard to vacations for Police Department employees. After
discussion,Alderman Carter moved that this matter be referred to the Finance Committee
seconded by Alderman Ucker, and upon the question being put before,the Cnunnil., result
in the following vote:Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Carter Hosford Peal, Gregory-- and
Sanders. Nays: None..xxxxxxxx. Absent and not votingeAldermen Ahook
Mayor declared carried as there were six Ayes and no Nays.
City vs City Attorney, Price Dickson, presented the matter of deposit required by Court to
3 J Wilson:be placed as indemnity in suit to be filed by City of Fayetteville vs R J Wilson in
condemnation proceedings covering Frisco over -pass. Alderman Sanders moved that City
Attorney have the Court set the amount required,`and thkt•the City Clerk be instructed
)ver -pass; to place with the Court a certified check for the amount, seconded by Alderman Carter
and upon the motion being placed before the Council resulted in the following vote:
Frisco. Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal and Sanders. Nay: Alderman Ucke
Absent and not voting: Alderman Shook. The Mayor declared carried as there were six
Ayes and one Nay.

The Fayetteville City Council met in Special Called meeting June 10,1936 8:00 P M.,
notice of which had been given and consented to by all members of the Council, for
the purpose of considering obtaining right -o£ -way for an over -pass over the Frisco
Railway on Maple street in the City of Fayetteville, and adopting a resolution
authorizing the institution of condemnation proceedings, if necessary. Copy of notice
follows:
NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING.
To the members of the City Council of the City of Payette ville,Arkansas:
Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, will be held in the City of Fayetteville at the City
Hall at 8:00 o'clock P. M.,on the 10th, day of June 1936, for the purpose of considerii
obtaining right-ofmaway for an over -pass over tho Frisco Railway on Maple st in the Cit,
of Fayetteville, and adopting a resolution authorizing the institution of condemnation
proceedings if necessary.

CONSENT TO MEETING.
We, the undersigned members of the City Counci of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,

Executive Alderman Ucker moved that the Council go into Executive Session, seconded by Aldermqn
Session: Sanders and carried unanimously. The Mayor declared the Council in Executive Session.
There was a round table discussion on the subject for which the meeting was called.
Alderman Bronson moved that the Council go out of Executive Session, seconded by
Alderman Carter and carried unanimously, ard•the Mayor declared the Council out of
Executive Session.
Offer Alderman Sanders moved that the City Attorney be instructed to present to R. J. Wilson
of the offer of $500e as damages in construction of the Maple Street over -pass on the
