Fayetteville City Council met in regularsession Monday, May 25th, 1936 8: oo P.M.
Mayor A. D. McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Price Dickson,City
Engineer -C. E. Pierce. Alderman Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook
and Ucker.
Minutes of the regular meeting May 18,1936 were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal Chairman of the
Auditing Committee: Ben Porter $15.00; Jim Gibson $12.00; M. S. Gabbard 48.41; M. L.Redu
$2.55; A. F. Shumate $18.00.Alderman Ucker moved that these bills be allowed as approved
and the Clerk be instructed to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same,
seconded by Alderman Bronson and carried unanimously.
A request was read from Dr. A. H. Hathcock for permission to cut pavement on Washington
Avenue to make sewer connection. Alderman Carter moved that this permit be granted to
be done under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Bronson, and unanimousl
passed by the Council.

Ito be published on June llth,1936. Alderman Sanders moved that this matter be referred
to the Finance Committee and Mayor McAllister, with power to act, seconded by Alderman
Bronson, and duly passed by the Council.

Dr. A. S. Gregg presented the matter of danger to health from mosquitoes; also the
requi,re'm��s.�rts f�he Wasserman test to all persons handling food products etc. No act
taken��s th4' Ordinance Committee is working on Sanitary Ordinance.,
Alderman Sanders moved that the Board of Health fight mosquitoes for thirty days on
program pursued last year, seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously.
The Mayor presented the matter of Arkansas Centennial Unit, asking Police protection
on Museum to be located at 510 North College Ave. After discussion, Alderman Sanders
moved that Chief of Police see Sam Guinn and Bob Hanna as to price they would charge
for guarding Museum articles, day and night service; seconded by Alderman Ucker and
carried unanimously.

A permit to cut curb on North Walnut st., Gunter Addition Block 21, Lot 5 was asked by
Norwood & Williams, Alderman Ucker moved that this permit be granted, to be done
under supervision of City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Shook and carried unanimously.
The Auditing Committee reported that they had audited final report of Annex No.2
East Street Improvement District No.l and had found same to be correct. Alderman
Gregory moved that this report be received and filed and the Commissioners discharged,
seconded by Alderman Hosford and carried unanimously.

Alderman Sanders of the City Hpspital Committee recommended P W A Project on sidewalks
surrounding City Hospital.
There being no further business, Alderman Ucker moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman
Bronson, and carried unanimously. -
