Henry B. Walker asked permission to cut pavement in alley in Block 29 Original Town.
Alderman Carter moved that this permit be granted, to be done under supervision of
City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Gregory, and carried unanimously.
The question of changing hour of City Council's meeting during the Summer months to
7:30 was again brought up. Alderman Ucker moved that the hour for meeting be
changed to 7:30 during -the summer months, seconded by Alderman Bronson, and upon the
question being put before the Council, resulted in the following vote: Ayes: Alderman
Bronson, Hosford and Ucker.. Nays: Alderman CartPr,Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook. The
Mayor declared the motion lost as there were fi¢p Nays and 9. * three Ayes.
Alderman Ucker moved that the Building Committee meet with the 'Nater Board to propose
matters relative to move to the City's new building, seconded by Alderman Sanders and
carried unanimously.
There being no further business,
Bronson, and carried unanimously.

Phillips. Alderman Bronson acting as clerk of the session.
Minutes of the regular meeting May 11th, were read and approved.

The following bills were presented after their approval the Chairman of the Auditing
Committee, Alderman J. C. Peal: Pure Delight Drug Store 51 cents; Bohe Grocery $1.53;
Skelley Oil Co. $24.61; W. E. Graham $4.56; Lee Lacy $1.25;Okel Mitchell $4.00; Jim
Gibson $11.00; Homer Milstead $20.00; A. F. Shumate $18.00; Ben Porter $15.00; Alderm
Carter moved that these bills be approved and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants
upon the proper funds in payment of same,seconded by Alderman Hosford and carried
unanimously.
A request was received from T. L. Myers to out Curb for installing sewer line on Lot
14 Davidson Addition. Alderman Ucker moved that this permit be granted to be done
under supervision of City Engineer,seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously.
Mr. J. P.1.Williams of the Hospital Board appeared before the Council with reference to
condition of sidew lk in front of Hospital since lowering of the grade of the Street,
and offerin oo ate $50.00 to re-imburse the City for the work already done.
Alderman Gregory moved that this matter be referred to the Street Committee and C'tity
Engineer to look over same and make report to the Council seconded by Alderman
Hosford, and.carried unanimously. (. 1"asking that sidewalk be lowered
Miss Lola Ellis, South School st., also appeared before the Council, stating that a
similar condition with reference to sidewalk existed in front of her property. Alderman
Bronson moved that this matter be referred to the Street Committee, Mayor and City
Fngineer,seconded by Alderman Carter and carried unanimously.
Acting Chief of Police Earl Hand stated that a number of people assessed a privilege
:Tax for operatilaces had told him they felt that they were not receiving the
protection which Ithe health Ordinance gave them with reference to inspection etc.
T. E. Brinson of the Waffle House Cafe appeared before the Council and made a similar
statement with reference to inspections at his place of business. Alderman Sanders
moved that the matter of Sanitary Ordinance be referred to ,the Ordinance Committee,
City Attorney a=4, Chief of Police to get up data; seconded by Alderman Hosford and
receiving the unanimous vote of the Council.
rThe mater of continuing the monthly payment of $5.00 per month toward rental of
U. S. Employment Service was brought up. After discussion,Alderman Sanders moved
that if the Chamber of Commerce was not able to secure offices in the Courthouse for
the U. S. Employment Service that the City would continue the payment of $5.00 per
month through December 31,1936; seconded by Alderman Shook and receiving the entire
vote of the Council.
There being no.further business, Alderman
seconded by Alderman Bronson, and carried
