Mayor A D McAllister, City Engineer C E Pierce, Alderman B BBronson, Jno Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. 237 Minutes of theregular meeting March 16th, were read and approved. Bills: The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: 1U. C. Smith $5.00; Jno Zillah $1.00; M T Miller $p2.50; W C Jackson $2.00; A F Shumate $j18.00; Ben Porter $15:00; Jas Gibson $12.00; W E Graham $8.28. Alderman Ucker moved that .these bills bills be allowed as approved' and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same,l seconded by Alderman Shook and carried unanimously. Sewer Noel Mayor McAllister brought to the attention of the Council that the resignation of Sewer .As- W. H. Assessors The request of Mrs McDonald for her son James McDonald to drive car was read. Alderman Ucker moved that this permit be granted, seconded by Alderman Shook and received the unanimous vote of the Council. A request was read from Southwest Bell Telephone Co., stating that they planned t: to re -arrange, remodel and improve their building; plans calling for colonial type front with pilasters on each side of the entrance; pilasters will project 61 inches from the present building line,print attached; work to be completed in the early 9. summer. Alderman Gregory moved that this permit be granted, seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unanimously. Shumate $18.00; Alderman Gregory moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same, seconded by Alderman Bronson and received the entire voteof the Council. Alderman Ucker for the Street Cay ittee reported that they had conferred with R J Wilso as toepossible damage to his propertynin construction of Over -Pass Frisco Railroad track,and that Mr Wilson named a price of $500.00 for this damage and that the Committ recommended payment of same. RESOLUTION --/ Resolution authorizing the issuing of a work order for the Construction of the o start Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant: WHEREAS, the funds are available and whereas the City desires to start construction ork on of the Fayebtevi-lle Sewage Disposal Plant, THEREFORE, ewer P1ant:BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, instruct E. M. Ratliff, Estate project engineer on the Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant, as representative or the City of Fayetteville to issue Work Order to McGeorge Construction Company to start construction of said Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant, Alderman Ucker seconded the adoption of this Resolution, and upon the question being put before the Oouncil resulted in the rf ollowing vote: Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker.Absent and not voting Alderman Bynum. Nays: None.The Mayor declared carried.
