Mayor A D McAllister, City Engineer C E Pierce, Alderman B BBronson, Jno Bynum, Carter, Grepory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker.. Minutes of theregular meeting March 16th, were read and approved. The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: W. C. Smith $5.00; Jno Zillah $1.00; M T Miller $2.50; W C Jackson $2.00; A F Shumate $18.00; Ben Porter 15;00; Jas Gibson $12.00; W E Graham x$8.28. Alderman Ucker moved that.these bills bills be allowed.as approve and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same, seconded by Alderman Shook and carried unanimously. The resignation of Wo H. Summers as assessor in Sewer Improvement District No.l was read, same to take effect immediately. Alderman Bynum moved that this resigna- tion be accepted, seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously. Mayor McAllister brought to the attention of the Council that the resignation of ewer As W. H. Summers left Sewer Improvement Number one without any assessors. Alderman Ucker moved that this permit be granted, seconded by Alderman Shook and received the unanimous vote of the Council. A request was read from Southwest Bell Telephone Co., stating that they planned to re -arrange, remodel and improve their building; plans calling for colonial type front with pilasters on each side of the entrance; pilasters will project 6�, inches from the present building line,print attached; work to be completed in the early summer. Alderman Gregory moved that this permit be granted, seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unanimously. There being no further business, Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unanimously. /i; ffA i C Approved C/ Mayor. Aldermen: Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Absent: Alderman Bynum. Minutes of the regular meeting March 23rd, read and approved. �. Bills: The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairiyan of the Auditing Committee. -Fred Eden $2.50; J. W. Shelley :,23.50 and yp25.00; Ben Porter $15.00; Jim Gibson $12.00; A. F. Shumate $18.00; Alderman Gregory moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same, seconded by Alderman Bronson and received the entire voteof the Council. The funds being available for contruction of the Sewage Disposal Treatment Plant, Alderman Ucker iint'roduced: the fo-Ilow ng Resolution: • . n RESOLUTION o start ork on fewer Resolution authorizing the issuing of a work order for the Construction of the Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant: WHEREAS, the funds are available and whereas the City desires to start construction of the Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant, THEREFORE, It 8E IT RESOLVED that the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, instruct E. M. Ratliff, Estate project engineer on the Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant, as representative of the City of Fayetteville to issue Work Order to McGeorge Construction Company to start construction of said Fayetteville Sewage Disposal Plant. Alderman Ucker seconded the adoption of this Resolution, and upon the question being put before the Council resulted in the rf ollowing vote: Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker.Absent and not voting Alderman Bynum. Nays: None.The Mayor declared carried. Alderman Ucker for theStreet Committeereported that they had conferred with R J Wilso as to -possible damage to his propertynin construction of Over -Pass Frisco Railroad track,and that Mr Wilson named a price of $500.00 for this damage and that the Committ recommended payment of same. The Budget for 1936 was presented but carried over. There being no further business Alderman Ucker moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman Bronson, and carried unanimously.
