When the title to, and possession of said lands is delivered or tendered
to the party,of the second part (Not later than July 1,1936) then said Bank as the
escrow agent of both parties to this contract,is hereby authorized and directed to
pay over to the party of the first part said sum of Three Thousand ($$3,000:00)

Alderman Bronson moved that examining of abstract and passing on title to the proper
described above be done by Karl Greenhaw, seconded by Alderman Sanders and carried
unanimously.
Alderman Bronson brought to the attention of the Council condition of sidewalk in
vicinity of City Hospital. After some discussion, .Alderman Bronson moved that the
matter be referred to City Engineer C.E.Pierce and Street Committee, with power to
act.
There being no further"business, Alderman Brosnon moved to adjourn, seconded by
Alderman Bynum, and unanimously passed by the Council. And the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned.*

The committee appointed to draft resolutions of respect for C. T. Harding,
deceased, presented the following Resolution for the Council's consideration:
'gyp R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N.
C.T. WHEREAS, in the recent,'death of Mr. C. T. Harding who had devoted eighteen ,years of
Harding: honorable and efficient service to our City as an Alderman and in whose death we
recognize the passing of an outstanding citizen, and,
PJHEREAS, those of us who had served on the Council with Mr Harding had found him to be
a wise dounsellor, deliberate in his judgments, and faithful to the best interests of
of our City, and,

we
hold in high;:regard
his invaluable services,
and deeply regret our per
loss in
the
friendship that many
years of association
had engendered.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Fayetteville
that in the death of Mr. Harding we mourn the loss of a distinguished citizen, a
faithful public servant, and a true and dependable friend:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we extend to the bereaved family our sympathy; that a
copy of this resolution be mailed to them and a copy be spread upon the minutes of
this Council.
Alderman Gregory moved the adoption of this resolution, seconded by Alderman Carter
and carried unanimously.
