Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday January 13,1936, 7:30 EM.
Mayor A. D. McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Engineer C. E.
Aldermen: Bronson, Bynum, Carter, Gregory Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker.
Minutes of the regular meeting held January 6th,1936 were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman
of the Auditing Committee: Ben Porter $15.00; A F. Shumate $$18.08; Bohe Grocery
$1.48; Earl Hand $,1.80; Elmer Weir $12.50; Jim Wilson $4.00; Bill Reynolds $$2.00;
E. M. Ratliff $$12.00; Wilson Motor Company $$16.95; Sandford & Son $8.00; W. E. Gregg
$$1.35; Salsbury General Shop $$4.00. Alderman Carter moved that the bills be allowed
as approved and the Clerk be instructed to issue warrant up% he proper funds. ^
This motion was seconded by Alderman Shook and received he unanimous vote of the
Council.
The Clerk presented statement from First National Bank showing the following
amounts due as interest on the following Funds:
City Bond 98.65
Aviation " 104.50
Fire Fund 31.30
General " 34.20
Alderman Sanders moved that warrants be issued covering these different interest
amounts. Alderman Bynum seconded this motion which received the unanimous vote of
the Council.
The foilaring reports of City Officials were presented: The Annual Report of
Fire- Chief;ClydeNWalt.er's;monthly reports of Police Judge, J. C. Massie; Abtifigo:
Chidfaof Police Earl Hand, and City Clerk and Collector, Otoe Phillips.
Alderman Bronson moved that these reports be received and filed. This motion was
seconded by Alderman Carter and unanimously passed by the Council..
The

of amusement was called to
the

of the Council. gilderman Ucker moved
that the Ordinance Committee
be
instructed
to form an
Ordinance assessing a fee
of $5.00 per tabile on Domino
Tables
and
similar forms
of amusement. This motion
was seconded by Alderman Sanders
and
carried
unanimously.
Alderman Carter, Chairman, reported that the Committee upon investigation found
that the Wilson lots were assessed for Sewer Benefits equitably with similar lots
in that vicinity, and recommended that the assessments be left as they now are on
the books. Alderman Gregory moved that this report be accepted. Alderman•Brohson
seconded this motion which was unanimously passed by the Council.
There being no further business,Alderman Carter moved to adjourn, which motion was
seconded by Alderman Ucker, and duly passed by the Council; and the Mayor declared
the Council adjourned.

The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman

Dr Fount Richardson $3.00; Southwest Bell Telephone Co., ;$60.09; Ben Porter $15000;
A. F. Shumate $$18.00; Lee Lacy $5.00; Jim Gibson $$12.;; Elmer Weir $$12.50; Barnsdall
Refining Cc* $$1.64; The Automotive $$,58; Skelley Oil Co. $$38.56; Mayes Grocery $3.15.
Alderman Gregory moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instrue
ed to issue warrants for the same upon the properfunds. This motion was seconded by
Alderman Bronson and received the unanimous vote of.the Council.
The matter of appointing assessors to take the places of Jno. P. Smith, moved from
Fayetteville, and IV. L. Crouch, unable to serve on aaount of physical condition -6n
Annex Noel Sewer�ent District Noel, was broughtnto the attention of the
Council. Alderma move that 41. M. Fishback be appointed as an.',Assessor in the
District named. Alderman Carter seconded this motion and upon the question being
put before the Council resulted in the following vote: Ayes: Aldermen: Bronson, By=
Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shmok and Ucker. Nays: None. The Mayor declared
carried and W. M. Fishback appointed as Assessor in Annex Noel Sewer Imp, District
Noel. Alderman Gregory moved that 0. L. Daily be appointed to act as Assessor in
Annex Noel Sewer Improvement District Noel. Alderman Carter seconded the motion, and
upon the Mayor putting the question, the following vote resulted: Ayes: Aldermen:
Bronson, Bynum, Carter,..Gregory, Pea1,.Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays: Ninee..,�The
Mayor declared carried and D. L. Daily appointed an :assessor in Annex No.,,, mprove-
ment District Noel, and the Clerk was instructed to notify each of these parties of
their appointment and asking them to file their Oath of Assessor.
The Mayor brought to the attention of the Council the matter of adopting a resolution)
approving the action of the Sewer Committee with reference to sale of.Sewer Revenue
Bonds of the City of Fayetteville.
