Suttles asked that the house be moved to South end of lot with basement; also excavation for and moving of Filling Station. The Council felt that this was out of line and that the original proposition of Two hundred Fifty ($250.) Dollars net damage,as made by the Committee,should stand: There being no further business,Alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, which motion was seconded by Alderman Grego ryand carried unanimously; and the Mayor declared the Counci adjourned. Be Pierce; Aldermen: Bronson, Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Minutes of the Regular meeting December -30..1935 were read and approved. The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee, whereupon Alderman Gregory made a motion seconded by Alderman Ucker that the bills be allowed as approved, and the Clerk be instructed to issue warrants for,the same upon the proper funds This motion received the entire vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared and instructed the C1erk:Arkansas Western Gas Company $6.43;Blair's Stationers $1.08; 0. l^!. Stapleton $1.50; Dr Fount Richardson $2.01 Southwest Gas & Electric Co. $$321.30;Harley Gover,Sberiff $$202.00;Fayetteville Printing Company $118.349 Fayetteville Lumber and Cement Co.$$11.87;Fayetteville Auto Supply $$2.21 The Automotive J3.81;Kelle Bros.Lumber Co.,815.15;Brooks and Drake $$15.98;Linkway Stores $$1.42; A F Shumate 18.00;Ben Porter �y15.00;Elmer Weir $5.00;Guy Roberts $10.00; W* E. Graham $8.65;Lewis Bros. Co. $$9.39;Walter S. Duggans $6.21. A request was read from W. S. Duggans Contractor, asking permission to cut paling on South Duncan street for the purpose of making a sewer connection for A. E. Lusky. Alderman Sanders moved that this request be granted to be done under supervision of City Engineer. This motion was seconded by Alderman Carter and received the unanimous vote of the Council. Dr. A. M. Harding, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners University Improvement Dist., No.l,appeared before the Council, stating that the District was paid out and all refund; made with the exception of $$94.30 due,John Rich, whom they were unable to locate, and asking that the Commissioners be discharged. Dr. Harding read a.letter from the Chancery Mudge relative to disposition of the $$94.30 refund due John Rich. This letter suggested that the money be turned over to the City Street Fund, to be held subject to the call of John Rich, Alderman Gregory moved that this money be accepted and placed in the Street Fund, subject to call of John Rich,` and that the Commissioners be excused from further duties, when their final report has been)audited•and found correct. Alderman Sanders seconded this motion which received thef.entire voteof the Council. Fire Chief, Clyde Walters appeared before the Council, stating that the town of Huntsville wantl uy two (2) used�Chemical:,tanks belongint to the Fayetteville station. Alde an„moved that this matter be referred to the Fire Committee and Fire Chief for further investigation and with power to act. This motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and received the unanimous.vote of the Council. antSanders;moved tha.t;tihe`Ordinanc.e.;Committee prepare an Amendment to Ordinance 789, making $$25.00 the maximum license -on Truck, or Truck and Trailer or Tractor iler. Resolved that the City Council authorize the Mayor to proclaim a forty (40) percent Discount on Vehicle Licenses up to and including February 29,193(5." This motion was seconded by Alderman Carter and upon the motion being put before the Council resulted in the following vote: Ayes:,Alderman Bronson, Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays: None. The Mayor declared carried. There being no further business, Alderman Bronson moved to adjourn.
