Fayetteville City Council met in adjourned session 10 o'clock A M Fridayx,November
29,1935.
Present: Mayor McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Rex Perkins. Aldermen:
Bronson, Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peals Sanders, Shook and Ucker.
The matter of receiving bids for construction of the Sew@rDisposal Plant came up for
consideration, and the following bids were opened by Guy Watkins, PEA Engineer, and
E W Chatterton, PWA Special Agent who were here for the meeting*.
The bid of S E Evans, Fort Sm ith,,Ark., was $110,371.03 .'.
•The bid of McGeorge Construction Co. was $ 1070052.05
Alderman Carter moved•thtt the meeting adjourn until l:oo o'clock P M of the same
day. This motion was seconded by Alderman Shook, and upon the question being put
before the Council resulted in the following vote: Aye: Aldermen Bronson; Bynum,
Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays: None, The Mayor declared
carried andthe Council adjourned until 1:00 o'clock November 29,1935.

Fayetteville City Council met in adjourned session 1:00 o'clock P M November 29,1935
Present: Mayor A D McAllister, City,(;lerk, Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Rex Perkins. Aldermen
Bynum, Carter, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Absent: Aidermen: Bronson and Gregory
The Mayor asked for report of Sevier Committe on bid's. This Committee reported
unfavorable toward accepting either of the bids on construction of sewer disposal
plant, giving as reason too high on material costs, and the total being more money
than the City had to put into the proposition, and recommended that all bids be
rejected.
After discussion, Alderman CarITer moved that all bids be rejected and the City Engineer
be instructed to advertise for new bids pn construction of the proposed Sewer Disposal)
Plant. Alderman Peal seconded this motion, and upon the question being put before the
Council, resuilted-inthe following vote: Aye: Aldermen: Bynum, Carter, Peal, Sanders,
Shook and Uck _sent and not voting: Aldermen Bronson and ereAcry. The Mayor
declared carried; and the City Engineer was instructed to advertise for new bids.
Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn which motion was seconded by Alderman Carter, and '
upon being put before the Council carried unanimously, and the Mayor delcared the

Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday, December 2,1935, 7:30 P M.
Present: Mayor A D McAllister, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Rex Perkins. Aldermen:
Bronson, Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, and Ucker. Absent: Alderman Shook.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Opening The matter of opening bids in Little Rock, Arkansas, after second advertising for
Bids- bids on construction of Sewer Disposal Plant was brought'up. Alderman Gregory moved
Sewer that W. N. Gladson and C E Pierce, acting City Engineers for E. M. Ratliff,•City
Disosal Engineer, be given authority to represent the City Council at the opening of the bids.
Plant: Alderman Bynum seconded this motion.. When the question was put before the Council,
the following vote resulted: Aye: Aldermen: Bronson, Bynum,Carter, Gregory, Peal,
Sanders and Ucker. Nays: None. Absent and not voting: Alderman: Shook,
Cut Curb:, M. L. Price appeared, asking privilege of,cutting Curb at 417 West Dickson st.,present
M L Price. location of 0. K. Taxi stand. Alderman Sanders moved that this permit be granted,
to be done under supervision of City Engineer. Alderman Gregory seconded this
motion which carried unanimously.
Church st- The condition of Gh4wrh Street between Meadow and -Spring from water running under the
Repair. pavement was brought to the attention of,the Council. Alderman Sanders moved that this
matter be referred to the Stfeet Committee, with power to act. This motion was
seconded by Alderman Peal, and received the unanimous vote of the Council.
No further business;, Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn. Alderman Bynum seconded the'
motion which carried unanimously, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.
