Mayor McAllister announced that the City Engineer and Sewer Board asked for cooperativ
representation from the City Council in carryinhe terms of P W A project construc-
tion of City Sewerage Disposal plant. The City s Standing Sewer Committee for the
years 1935 and_1936- Alderman,-Sanders,Bronson and Shook were appointed to -act with
the Sewer Commission wiith P W A project.
There being no.further business, Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn. This
motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson and was carried unanimously. The Mayor
declared carried and the Council adjourned.

and received the unanimous vote of the Council.

to fill the place of E M Ratliff on each of these Boards. A motion was made by
Alderman Shoo)j and seconded by Alderman Gregory that W N Gladson be appointed to fill
the unexpired terms of E M Ratliff, resigned, as Commissioners of Sewer Improvement
District Noel of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and as Commissioner of Water
Improvement District Noel to the City of Fayetteville. Upon the question being put
before the Council, the following vote resulted: Ayes: Aldermen Bronson, Bynum, Cart$
Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook,and Ucker. Nayes: None. The Mayor declared the motion
carried and W N Gladson is appointed as Commissioner in these two aforesaid Districts,
as there are eight Ayes and no Nayes.
Mayor McAllister stater9 that the City was badly in need of a copy of the last
Directory of the City of Fayetteville for its ;Police Department, and that a copy
could be purchased of the"Publishers for$5 00. Alderman Peal moved that the Mayor
be authorized to purchase a copy of this (i y Directory. Alderman Gregorjt seconded
this motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council.

The subject of marble machines as a gambling device came up for discussion. Alderman
Sanders moved that instructions given by City Uouncil to Chief of Police on September
30th, relative to arresting operators of ,ramarble-.Imachines used as r. gambling devices
be withdrawn, and that the City Attorney and Chief of Police be instructed to
enforce Ordinance Number 776, passed and approved 28th, day of May 1934, relating to
Marble and Slot Machines in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas Ucker second

these bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk instructed to draw warrants in
payment of same upon the proper funds. This motion was seconded by Alderman Shook
and received the unanimous vote of the Council.
Report of Improvement District-No.42 was`read, same being submitted by J W Skelton,
Secretary. As all coupons covering interest paid were not attached, Alderman Gregory
moved that this statement be returned for coupons to be attached. This motion was
;) seconded by Alderman Peal, and carried unanimously.
A request was read from Burl Dodds to cut curb corner of Hill and Wall( which is lb.t

supervision of City Engineer. Alderman Shook seconded this motion which was duly
passed by the Council
The Oaths of office of Al N Gladson as Commissioner of Sewer Improvement District No.l,
and Board of Managers City Water Plant were read. Alderman Gregory moved that the
same be received and filed. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bronson and
upon the question being put, resulted inthe following vote: Ayes:Alderman Bronson,
Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nayes: None, The Mayor
