Present: Mayor A D McAllister,City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Rex Perkins,City Engineer E M Ratliff, Aldermen Bronson, Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Shook,Peal and Ucker. Absent: Alderman Sanders. Minutes of the regular meeting held May 20th,1933, were read and approved. Bills: The following bills were presentedafter their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: City Hospital $21.25:;Allen Johnson $1.50;Geo Evans & Son 1$3.00; The Blair's $1.85; 0 w Stapleton $1.25; C V Day $1.25; A F Shumate $18.00; Ben Porter $15.00; Harper Brush Works $8.82. Alderman Carter moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants upon the proper funds in payment of same. Alderman Gregory seconded this motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council. The Committee on Garbage disposaland Jail was not yet ready to report. There being no further business, Alderman Shook moved to adjourn. Alderman Peal seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned. Attest: v`Z G� Approved: City Clerk. Mayor. Water for Alderman Bynum brought up the subject that there was no place in town for the Farmers: farmers to water their stock. After discussion, Alderman Bronson moved that the matter be left to the Street Committee to investigate with reference to a probable place for watering stock, rental expense etc. Alderman Carter seconded the motion and same wags duly passed by the Council. Dairy: The subject of Dairy Privilege Tax was presented. Alderman Bronson moved that the Ordinance Committee formulate an Ordinance and name a privilege tax on Dairies as soon as possible. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and was unanimously passed by the Council. City Mrs H G Hotz and Mrs C K McClelland appeared before the Council representing the Library: women's Civic Club, suggesting that the City trade the Old Air Port for City property which couldbe used in housing the City Library of Fayetteville, stating that Federal aid could probably be obtained in such a proposition. Deane G Carter and T C Carlson who have had experience in consummating loans from the Federal Governement were present and explained with reference to obtaining aid by F E R Aoor P w A. The Council members indicated that they would be willing to dispose of the old Air Port if a suitable trade could bemade, mentioning that the old Air Port was a valuable piece of property containing 77 acres, with about one half mile fronting on paved Highway; mentioning also that if such a trade could be made, the City property would have to be large enough for City Hull and Fire Station as Well as Library and Jail. Alderman Bronson moved that the matter be referred to the City Planning Com- mission. This motion was seconded by Alderman Ucker and carried unanimously. Don B A communication was read from Don B Landers applying for the lease or management of Landers: the municipal Air Port, stating that in offering his application, he had in mind the development and improvement of said City Air Port in connection with,and in addition to his use of same in private enterprise. Alderman Ucker moved that the Mayor appoint a committee, City Engineer E M Ratliff to act with this Committee,to confer. with Mr Landers in regard to his propposal and application. This motion was seconded by Alderman Carter and was duly passed by the Council. The Mayor then named as this Committee -Alderman Shook, Ucker and Bynum, acting with City Engineer E M Ratliff.
