Fayetteville City Council met in regular session January 28,1935,
Present: Mayor T S Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, Alderrnen: Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal,
McAllister, Sanders, Shook and Stanford. Cityrngineer r 11 Ratliff, City Atty. Rex
Perltins, Acting Chief -of Police M r,, Hand.
The Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
The follmiling hills were preserted after their approval by alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee: Bohe Grocery 1.90 and $7.00; A F Shumate A18.00; Ben Porter
$15.00 Ralph Conner $2.40; vl F; Greglr 41,22.50'.
Alderman Grc;gory mored th^t the `1 lls be allowed as arproved and the Clerk be
instructed to issue warrants for the amounts charging to the proper funds. Alderman
Carter seconded this motion and the same was uhanimoue.ly nassrd by the Council. The
Mayor declared cartii.ed.
The report of thri Civil Service Commission referring to men on duty t�lasi'rnads.'

seconded by Alderman Peal. It was then discovered that the report did not include
all men on duty in Fire as well as Police Departments, and the motion was withdrawn
with the consent of the Second.
The resi�-n"ation of A D McAllister as Alderman from the Third ';lard, to take effect

motion was seconded by Alderman Carter. Upon the motion being put before the
Council, the following vote resulted: Ayes : Alderman Bynum, Carter. Gregory, Peal
McAllister, Sanders, Shook and Stanford. Naves: None, The Mavor declared carried.
The Annual Renor•t of Ii C Frambers & Co., Auditors was presented by Marion Bell.
Alderman Sanders moved that the report be. received and filed, This motion was
seconded by Alderman Bynum and received the unanimous vote of the `'ouncil. The
Mayor declared carried.
The Auditor's representative also presented a hill for ballince of year 1934 1125.00'.
Alderman Bynum moved that a warrant be issued in payment of this bill. Alderman Carter
seconded this b0t'ion and same %vas duly passed by the Council, and the Clerk was
instructed to, issue a warratt for same upon thenro-ver Fund:.
Aldermnn Shook moved that the Auditor be asked to meet with the City council acid
analvze Audit. This motion was seconded ny Alderman Peal and received the unanimous
vote of the Council. The date of Feby 5th,1935, 7:30 P hl was agreed upon as ,the
date for this conference of Cit}r Council and Auditor. .
Alderman Sanders moved that the, City Clerk be ins true ted to issu e warrai is for
Bonds due on Funding and Aviation Bdnds. This motion was seconded by Alderman
Shook and received the unanimous vote of theCCouncil, and the Clerk was instructed to
issue Warrants covering same.
A resolution covering proposed new contract to be entered into between City of
Fayetteville and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company was presented by Sunerintendant
G A R; Johnson. After some discussion, Alderman. Bynum moved that this resolution be
referred to the Finance Committee. This motion was seconded by Alderman Carter, and
upon the question being put, resulted in the following vote: Ayew: Alderman Bynum,
Carter, Gregory, HcAl lister, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Stanford. NAyes: None. The Mav or
declared carried, and the resolution waa turned over to the Finance �anmittee.
There being no furtlr.r business, Alderman Shook moved that 'lie Council adjourn. This
motion was seconded by Alderman Peal, Thd t'otion was passed unanimously and the Mayor
declared the Council ad,j ournor..
