Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday, December 17,1934.
(Present: Mayor Tribble, City Clerk Ctoe Phillips, City Engineer E M Ratliff, acting Chief
Police Earl Hand, City Atty•, Rex Perkins. Alderman: Bynum, Carter, Gregory,
McAllister, Peal, Sanders, Shook, and Stanford.
The minutes of the meeting held December 10th, were read and approved.

I Bills: The .following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chai rman
of the Auditing Committee: Southwestern Gas & El.ec Co- 41314.10: Barry Hamilton
4?6.02; Bohe's Grocery $6.00; Ben Porter $15.00: A F Shumate $x18.00; E K Hooper 3.
H L Tuck Super Service $8.96; Alderman Bynum moved that the bills be allowed as
approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants far the same upon the proper
Hands. The motion was seconded by Alderman Sanders and received the unanimous
vote of the Council.
A motion was made by Alderman Pea.l that the Council pass the regular meeting
night, December 24th, Christmas F,ve,and meet again on Monday December3lst, This
motion received the unanimous vote of the "ouncil and the. Mayor so declared.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made. by Alderman Sanders
and seconded by Alder man Carter which was duly passed by the Council and the
Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

A notice of the Statewide Meeting of `+rkansas Municipal League to be held
Jany 4th,1935 was read.

City Atty., Rex Perkins asked the louncil to appoint or allow a special attorney
for
for Civil Service Commission investigation. Alderman Gregory moved that the City
Attorney's request be. granted: this motion was seconded by Alderman Sanders, and

was duly passed by the Caancil. The Mayor declared carried.

: A motion was made by Alderman McAllister that the Mayor a woint a Committee of
three to act with the Civil Service Commission in selecting an attorney to act
with the Commission. This motion was seconded by Alderman Shook and received the
unanimous %ote of the Council. The Mayor declared carried. The Mayor then
appointed Alderman Sanders, Stanford and Gregory as the three membl>.rs of the
Council to act with the Civil Service Commission, in selectins an attorney to
assist in the investig tion.
A motion was made by Alderman Pea.l that the Council pass the regular meeting
