Fayetteville City Council met in regular session December 3rd,1934.,
Present: Mayor T S Tribble,-AldarmenL Bynum, Gregory, McAllister, Peal, -Shook and Sanders.

Bills: The following bills approved by.Chairman of Auditing Committee were presented and
uponmotion of Alderman Bynum which was seconded by Aldeman.Sanders were approved
and ordered paid by a unanimous vote of the Council present.: Arkansas Western Gas Co•
p.26 and $3.00'J H Shelley $;7.00; Lewis Bros. 4?5.13 and 4e1.09: Ben Pbrter 415.00:
A F Shumate $18.00: Heerwagen Bros. $2.22, Abshier-Bryan CO',$G1.00; Fayetteville
Lumber and CementtCo. $1.65.
D C Roberts'
Permit: A request from Dr• D. C. Roberts for permission tout curb on North Church Street
for entrance to his garage was presented. Alderman�moved that Dr• Roberts
request be granted, work to he rdbne under supervision of City Engineer, E M Ratliff,
This motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and carried unanimously and the Mayor so
declared.
A petition from sixteen Real Estate. Brokers asking, that the Annual privilege Tax for
their line of work be reduced .from $25.00 to$10.00and that a license costing X2.50
should apply for each salesman employed by such Broker. Alderman Sanders moved that
the petition be received and filed. Alderman Bynum seconded this motion which
carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared.
After some discussion, Alderman Bynum moved that the License to sell Real Estate be
Real EstatATeduced to X10.00 for each person enLkaked.in the business of selling real estate,
License same to be effective for the ,year 1934. This motion was seconded by Alderman Gregory
Reduced I and received the unanimous vote of the members present. Following tris action,
to $10.00 Alderman Gregory moved that the Heal Estate Ordinance Ndmber 548, Section One -be
amended to read Each Applicant for a license under the provisions of this
Ordinance shall Day to the City Collector of the City of Fayetteville, hrkansas, the.
sum of Ten Dollars ($10.) per annum and said City Collector shall issue to such
applicant a lieense authorizing said applicant to engage in the business of Real
Estate Broker or Rental Agent for the period of one ,year from date of said receipt.
The request for erection ofVlood Sign was referred to Ordinance Committee.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Alderman Bynum to adjourn
which was seconded by Alderman..Gregory and the Mayor declared the "ouncil adjourned.

of the Auditing 'Jommittes: Harley Gover Sheriff X43 One Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company $35.20; Blair Stationers $1.25; Thomas & Son 44.65; AF Shumate $18.00:
Magnolia Petrolium Coo, $-29.92; Ben F`orter $15.09. Alderman McAllister moved thag the
billsbe allowed as approved and that the clerk be instructed to draw watrants for the
same upon the proper funds. This motion was seconded. by Alderrian Bynum and was
carried unRnimouslyo, and the. Mayor so declared.
The matter of Auto License for Ozark White Lime Bo.,Vine Bluipenburg for Buick Coupe
was brought up covering, the ,year 1934. In view of the fact that Mr Blumenburg was
under the impression that he did not have to buy a tag for this car or he would
have bought at the beginning of the ,year, Alderman Gregory moved that the City
Collector be instructed to issue a 1934 auto tag to Mr Blumenburg for the sumce of
$5.00• Alderman Sanders seconded thismotion and same was carried unanimously.
.There, being no further business Alderman Bynum moved to adjourn. This motion was
seconded by Alderman McAllister and received the unanimous vote of the Council
present. The Mayor declared the Council adjourned.
