Present: Mavor T S Tribble, City Clerk Ot-oe Phillips, City Engineer F M Ratliff, City Attorney Rex Perkins, Chief of Police Neal Cruse. Aldermen: Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, McAllister, Sanders and Shook. Absent: Alderman Stanford. Minutes of the regular meeting of Sentember 24th, were read and approved. Bills: The following hill^ were presonted after their approvalby Aldermen Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: Goss Rogers Electric Co., ?1.70; Fayetteville Printing Company d?1.80: Balir Stationers x`1.50; Lrkansas Viestern Gas to. $1.25; Ben Porter $15.0): F1 E Diven 8x1.44; Bill Lacy .2.50: Lewis Bro. AR.86: Thomas &Son 4?2.40; Kelley Bros Lumber Co., $1.60; Abshier-Bryan Motor Coo$27.54: A F Shumate 018.00; Bossmeyer-LicBri4 e Co., $'1.45; Lewis Bros. $17.48; Lewis Bros. $1.52:Alderman McAllister made a motion which was seconded by Alderman Bynum that the bills be allowed as approved, and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the same upon the proper funds. This motion received the entire vote of the Council present and the idavor so declared. The Committee appointed to work out plans in regard to Fire Fund asked for more time for consideration or' this matter and same was carried over. The mattor of laying sidew=ilk on East maple st., in charge of Street Committee and City Engineer was also carried over. There being, no further business a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Sanders; same being seconded by Alderman Carter. This motion was dilly passed by the tounci.l and the Malror declared the Council adjourned. Attest Citv Clerk. Approved _ ��/'"" Mayor. Fayetteville City Council met in regular session October 8,1934. Present: Mayor Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips. Chief of Police Neal Cruse. Aldermen: Bynum, Carter, Gregory, McAllister, Peal and Shook. Absent: Aldermen: Stanford and Sanders. I.iinutes of the regular meeting October 1st, were read and approved. Bills: The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing. Committee: Fayetteville Daily Democrat $1.84: Magnolia Petroleum Co., $58.78: Ben Porter $15:00 and A F Shumate $18.00. Alderman Gregory moved that 9,11 bills be allowed as approved, and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the-spare—upon" the proper funds. Thismotion was seconded by Alderman McAllister This received the unanimou vote of aldermen present. Annual report of University Improvement District No., was read. Motion was made by Alderman Carter and seconded by Alderman Peal that same be received and filed. A Protest from l? S Pollard against assessment for the year 1934 of his property in Water Improvement District No.3, Davidson's Addition, was read. A motion was made by Alderman Gregory and seconded by Alderman Peal that all protests of this nature should be heard next 6:onday, same being October 15th.1.934. Tbis motion carried unanimously. The matter of Bond of R E V?ages was referred to Rex Perkins, City Attorney. The Fire Committee asked that their report be allowed to be carried over. Chief of Police Neal Cruse, at the request of Merchants, asked that extra Police force be put on for two weeks, expense of same, being divided equally between City of Fayetteville and merchants. Alderl'�an Gregory moved that the City agree to pay half o this expense as requested. Alderman Carter seconded this motion, and same carried unanimously ofall Aldermen present. The Mayor declared carried. A letter was read from Chairman of the Itinery Committee, Seventh Annual Arkansas Air Tour, stating that Saturday afternoon, October 27th, was the scheduled time .for Tour to ar-jive in FavettevillP. The matter was refe�ired to Air Port Committee to make ready for the landing etc. The matter of placing Firemen's Insurance was carried over. Their being no further business, motion for adjournment was made by Alderman Carter and seconded by Alderman Gregory, and the I.Tayor declared the council ad,journed,after a unanimous vote ori the bamei.
