G S Campbell, Secretary -Manager, Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce appeared before
the Council, and asked that the members attend the special meeting of the
Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday night.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Carter
and seconded by Alderman Peal, and being duly passed by the Council, the t:;ayor
declared tho Council adjourned.

Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Septerrber 24,1934.
Present:
Mayor T S Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Philli s, City F,nfineer r bl Ratliff, City
.ttorney Rex Perkins, Chief of Police Neal Cruse, Aldermen: Bynum, Carter, Peal,
McAllister, Sanders, Shook, Stanford, Absent: Alderman Gregory.
Minutes of the regular meeting held September 17th, were read onrl approved.
Bills:
The folloviina hills we -•e Dresented after their approval by Alderr„an Peal, Chairman
of the Auditing Committee: Southwest Gas 8: Flectric Co., w314.10; Standard Traffic
Marker Co., $20.00, Ben Porter $15.: and A F Shumate $18.00. Alderman Bynum made
a motion'wrieh was seconded by Alderman Carter that the hills be allowed as
annroved, and the Clerk he instructed to draw warrants for the same upon the
proper funds. This motion received the entire vote of the Council present and the
Mayor so declared.
Financial
Financial reports of the following Improvement Districts were read: Annex Ilo.l to
Reoorts o
West Lafayette Improvement District No.1 and Water Improvement District No.3 -City
Imp Dists.
Park. Alderman Sanders moved that these reports be received and filed. This
motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and carried unanimously.
Monthly
eport for the month of August was readtby City Clerk Otoe Phillips. Alderman

Fire
After some discussion as to the condit'on of the. Fire Fund, Alderman �JQQ

made a motion which was seconded by Aldermanthat the Fire Committee

investigate the indebtedness of the Fire I%ena rtment anu r:ork out some plan to
correct the .present condition of the Fire Fund.
Dr Morrow's
The matter of a charity patient under the care of Dr. F. R. Morrow was brought to
Charity
to the attention of t} -o Council. Alderman Sunders moved that thr City pay 50 cent.
patient':
per day toward the expense of giving this patient the necessary care. This motion
was seconder] l,y Alderman Carter, and was passed by a unanimous vote of the Council
and the Mayor so declared.
