Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday September 17yh,1984,
Present: tdayor T S Tribble. City rhgineer E M Hatliff, City Attorney Rex Perk ins; Chief of
police Veal Cruse. Aldermen: Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Peal, Shook. Absent: Aldermen
McAllister and Stanford, City'Clerk Otoe Phillips. City Atty. Tex Perkins acting as
Clerk of the Session.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of,
the Auditing Committee: Harley Gover, Sheriff x;42.00: Eldo Cole 64.00; VI E Gregg 5.
Bills: 0 W Stapleton 612.50; T H Comer $1.92; Fayetteville Auto Supply $1.10; Ben Porter 15
Ben Porter 65 cents; A FShumate 1448.(X); Elmer Weir X2,50; Kelly Bros N6.86;
Melton Electric Shop 54U.00; Kelley Bros. Lumber Co. $15.60. Alderman Shook made a
motion which was seconded by Alderman Sanders tba.t the bills be allowed as approved
and, the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the same upon the proper .funds. This -
motion was passed by the Council and the Mayor so declared.
Motion was made by Alderman Sanders and Seconded by Alderman Gregory that from this
date any City Employe being off duty and having some one, iri his place, he must pay
the help and not City. This received the entire vote of the. Council present.
Financial Report of Improvement District No.35( Duncan st) was read. Motion was made
by Alderman Gregory and seconded by Alderman Bynum that same be received and filed.
The motion carried and the Mayor so declared.
Mr. Fred Raedels appeared before the Council in behalf of property owners in
Gunter Addition, with reference to sidewalk on htarnle st, and stated that if the City
Would furnish labor, the property owners would voluntarily put down sidewalk.
Alderman Sanders made a motion which was seconded by Alderman Carter that the Street
Committee and City Engineer investigate this matter on Maple street, and report
next Monday night as to where it was best to lay the sidewalk in question. This
motion was passed by the Council and the Mayor so declared.
There being; no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Gregory
and seconded by Alderman Bynum. This motion being, duly passed, the Maybr,declared
the Council adjourned.
