The minutes o.fthemeeting of July 16th, were read. Fire- Alderman Shook moved that tl^e minutes pertaining to the Mayor borrowing money be House corrected to read as follows: "The Mayor is authorized to borrow four to five thou- Repair: sand dollars(84000..to $5000.) on old airport at interest rate not to exceed six Der cent Der annum. The funds so borrowed to be used as a.sinking fund for the Fire Department. The money to be borrowed only upon the written opinion of the City Attorney that the borrowing of the money and the use of the same as a sinking fund for the Fire Department is legal". 'This motion was seconded by Alderman'PdcAllister. Upon roll -call. -the following vote resulted; Ayes,Aldermen Cart@,%, Bynum, Gregory, McAllister,Peal, Shook and -Stanford. Nayes: Alderman Sanders, The Mayor declared thi motion carried and the minutes approved as amended. Bills: The following bills approved by the auditing committee were approved and ordered to b paid: Bohe Grocery $2.50; Ben Porter $15:00; Fldo Cole $1.25; Harve Ward $2.50: J C Plaits $$2.50; Southwest Gas & Electric Co.;'$$315.10; C F Pierce $12.50; Salsbury shop $7.00; A F Shumate$$18.00; Albert Walker $2.50. QuIit Alderman Gregory moved that the Mayor and City Clerk beauthorized to make• a quit-clai Claim deed to Fayetteville School District Number one for the following streets and alleys Deed in Duncan Addition to Fayetteville, Arkansas: All'of South Buchanan Avenue: Treadwel School' 'Street from a Doint 195 feet Piest of Buchanan Avenue to a point 215 feet east of hist ¢rl: Buchanan Ave andthe Alley lying North of Lot 1, Block 8 and Lot 7, Block 7; all -of Duncan's Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. This motion was seconded by Alderman McAllister. Upon roll=ca ll; the following vote resulted:Ayes: Aldermen Bynum, Carter, Gregory,'McAllister, Peal.' Sanders, Shook and Stanford. The Mayor declared the motion unanimously adopted,. 4611l Cor Alderman Bynum moved that the Uity Engineer, F. M Ratliff, be instructed to prepare ner College plans for the wall at the corner of College Avenue and Rock streets .in accord with a and I recent Bourt order. This motion was seconded by Alderman'Peal, and resulted inthe Rock st.l following vote: Ayes:Aldermen, Carter. Bynum and Gregor yyMcAlli star 9 Peal, Sanders, Shook and Stanford.
