Present Mayor Tribble,Aldermen: Bynum, Carter, Peal, Sanders, Shook, Stanford. Chief of Police
Ideal Cruse: Chief of Fire Department Clyde Walters.; City Attorney, Rex Perkins.
Absent: Aldemen: Gregory and McAllister and.City Clerk Otoe Phillips. City Attorney,
Ilex Perkins acting as City Clerk,
Bills: The following hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman
of the Auditing Committee:Southwest Bell Telephone Co.,132.04; A F Shumate, 118.00:
J I Holcomb Mrifg Co.113.25; Heerwagen Bros. 13.50;Ben Pobter 115.00; Lewis Chevrolet
Co.11.00: Griffin Grocery Co. 11.25; r M Ratliff 19.80.' It was moved by Alderman
Bynum and seconded by Alderman Shook thatthe City Clerk be instructed to issue '
warrants .for these items upon the proper funds. The six aldermen present voted in the',
affirmative and the Mayor declared carried.
Airport
Mr. H. T. Asbury, resident Manager of the Southwest Gas & Electric Company, presented

the new schedule of rates, aa'accepted by the Arkansas Fact Finding Tribunal,,which

outlines two.stipulated rates; one for residences, apartments and private rooming

houses, and a bldck rate for commercial purposes. Mr. Asbury called attention to the
fact.that the average total reduction for residential users under the new scheule is
the E R A to finish the
12 to 14 percent and to commercial users 12.9 per cent. Mr. Asbury stated that the
effect of this new rate in Fayetteville is that 7 customers have been 'increased 2 to

60 cts per month; in fou r'.room houses, 78 customers have been decreased; total
customers increased in rate -is 33 out of 2200 users. Mr Asbury asked that the
schedule,of rates as required by lawand recommended by the Arkansas Fact'Finding
Flying
Tribunal, this schedule being in proper form to file with the City Clerk, be accepted
by the Fayetteville City Council for the Fayetteville area. A motion was made by

Alderman Carter and seconded by Alderman Peal that the resolution of acceptance be

Alderman Sanders made a motion which was seconded

Flying

A motion was made by Alderman Saanders and seconded by Alderman Carter
that the
Mayor and. City Engineer,-make'any contract with Aviator necessary to put
on a flying
exhibition without any cost -to the City. The six
Aldermen present voted
in the
affirmative and the Mayor declared carried.
Fire-
Ouse Re-
pair: After some discussion with reference to repairs on second story -:of Fire -House, a
motidn*:was made b Alderman Stanford and seconded by Alderman Peal that the Mayor be
ru or ze to Orr WO4000.00 to 15000.00 on Municipal Golf Course at a maximum
interest charge of six (6) percent, and irse as a sinking fund for use on the Fire
ouse. Five Alderman voted in the affirmative and the Mayor declared carried.
Sewer
Connect: A motion was made by -Alderman Peal and seconded by Alderman Carter that Jay Shelley
obtain a list of property owners within three hundred (300) feet of the sewer line
who have open toilets and have not connected with the sewer. Six voted in the
affirmative and the Mayor declared carried.

Stanford" and seconded by Alderman.Sanders. The six members present voted in the
