Fayetteville City Council met in regular session July 9th,1934.
Present, Mayor Tribble, Aldermen Rynum,Carter, Gregory, McAllister, Peal, Sanders, Shook and
Stanford (Tardy), Chief; of Police Neal Cruse,Chie.f of Fire Department Clyde
Walters, City Attorney Rex Perkins. Absent: City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Atty Rex
Perkins acting as clerk of the session.
Minutes of the previous meeting July 2nd, were read and approved.
Bills: The following hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee: Jay Shelley $$5.00;Eldo Cole $2.50; 0 W Stapleton $$2.50;
PI R Mershon "$2.50; Albert Walker $12.50; Ben Porter $$15.00; Jno. Zillah $3.75;Eugene
tfebb 02.50; Lewis Ward $2 25;Henry Vaughan $2.00; C 0 Schuetz vr2.00; Magnolia Pet Co.,
$45 65; A F Shumate $18.00; Ed Ward $1.00; Jacob Shelley $$42.00; Ed Black $2.00;
H 0 Wantuck $1. 75. It was moved by Alderman Bynum and seconded by Alderman McAlliste
thatthe Cit. erk be instructed to draw warrants for these items upon the proper funds
Seven votes in the affirmative and the Mayor declared carried.
Report was received that the resolutions referred to in Minutes of July 2nd, had been
mailed to State Hi -Way Engineer Jas Rhyne.

Tile:
Request was received from E R A for 170 feet of tile from old Golf Course to be. taken to
Airport for drainage on main run -way. After some discussion, Alderman Gregory made a
motion that in the opinion of the Council, -,due to.the tentative plans of the old Golf
Course, it is unwise to remove the tile. This motion was seconded by Alderr-an Peal
and the seven present at that time voted unanimously in favor of the motion. The Mayor
declared. carried.
Detour:
A motion was made by Alderman Gregory and seconded by Alderman Peal that Chairman of
Street Committee and Mayor consult High -Way Department and see if it is possible to
block West street and divert traffic by markers to Hill street off Highway Number 62
and School street. This motion carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared.

A Motion was mode by Alderwan Sanders and seconded by Alderman Peal, that W T Porter
be appointed Commissioner of North Leverett Improvement District No:.l to serve in the

There being no further business before, the Council, Alderipan Peal made a motion to
adjourn, same being seconded by Alderman Carter, and 'carried unanimously, and the
1.1ayor so declared.

Avenue Improvement District Number One of the city of Fayetteville, Ark.
