The Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, July 2nd,1934, Present: Present: Mayor Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, Aldermen: Carter, Bynum,D1cAllister, Finance) The Finance Committee asked that the Reporton Hospital Claim by City Water Plant be Committee -carried over. City Water Plant vs ret -Hospital. fuly 4th, A motion was.made by Alderman McAllister and seconded by Alderman ganders, that the 3peclal. East, West and North sides of the Public Square be hloci;ed off for the 4th of July program as arranged. This motion carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared. ichool st. Alderman McAllister made a motion which was seconded by Alderman Shook that laving. resolutions be drafted, asking State High -Way Engineer, Jim Rhyne, to pave Wall street and a supplemental block from Rock st., to Mountain on School street, according to his promise to the City of Fayetteville. Same carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared. Oiling Locust Alderman McAllister made a motionwhieb was seconded by Alderman Stanford that the Street Committee look into the cost of oiling Locust st which is to to used as a detour during the paving of School st., giving the Committee power to act, this motion earriedunanimously and the Mayor so declared. There being no further business, motion for adjournment was made by Alderman Shook and seconded by Alderman Peal. Same being carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared. The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: Fayetteville Printing Co.$19.75; Republic Printing Co., $6.00; Blair Stationery Co. $2.35; Goss -Rogers Electric Co..2(:25; Harley Gover Sheriff $S23,C •J W Shelley $6.25; Joe Baker $2.00; Dale Allen $1.05; Snow Bird Coal Co $50cts.; Roy Harper $1.00; Leo Swift $6.25; Louis Ward $1.00; Ben Porter $15.00; Express & Postage $$2.42; Thomas & Son $7.55; A F Shumate $18.00; Harper Brush Works $6.00. It was moved by Alderman Carter and seconded by Alderman Bynum that the City Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for -the same upon proper funds. The motion carried unanimously.
