Fayetteville City Council met in regular session June 25,10.34.
Present: Mayor Tribhle;&lckermeri•: Carter, McAllister, Peel., -Shook,. Sanders, Gregory,;Bydum and
Stanford, Chief of Police Cruse, Chief of Fire Department Clyde Walters. Absent:
City Clerk Otoe Phillips; City Attorney, Rex Perkins, acting as Clerk of the
session.

after their approval by Al.derman.real, Chmn of Auditing Com.
Bills: The following bills were presented Albert Walker $5.00; J W Gooding $2.00;
Hugh Lichlyter $'$`1.08; Ed Poor 41.x; Dr., E. F. Ellis$7:28; Joe Baker $4.00;
Ben. Porter $$15.00 A F Shumate $18.00. by Al Pte,
A 0,4�,=+=_c in , it was moved by Alderman J K Gregory and
seconded by Alderman Jno Bynum that the hills be allowed as approved and that the
City Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the same upon the proper funds. The
motion was carried unanimously.
Canning
Kitchen: The matter of the City paving $25.00 toward placing partition and screens in a
building on Sam Morrow's farm, now being rented by E R A. to make the building
suitable for canning 'kitchen was brought beforethe Council. After discussi m ,
Alderman Sanders made a motion which was seconded by Alderman Carter that as this
was a County -wide project and not a City project that the request be denied. The
motion was carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared.
lackaby No action was taken on a claim for $150. damages to garden done by rain on June 10th;
laim for Claim made by Mrs Blackaby on account of ditch on her street having been closed

acancy In the matter of filling the vacancy on Board of Sewer Improvement No.l, City
ewer Bd: Attorney, Rex Perkins, stated to the Uouncil that in his opinion, N F Drake, had
filled- automatically declined the appointmentiby failing to file his Oath of Office as
Commissioner with the City Clerk, within the ten day limit as prescribed by law:
therefore making E M Ratliff who was appointed June 18th, and filed Oath of office
on the 19th,a member of the sewer board.
oteran's B F Campbell, Chairman of the Board of Managers of the Water Improvement Disri6t
osp Bondi: No.l and J H McIlrov, Commissioner of the same Improvement District, appeared
before the council, asking that the City make arrangements toward meeting a'n--
obligation of 96500. due on Veteran's Hospital Bonds. The matter wasreferred to -
the Finance Conmittee.
There being no furter business, Alderman Peel made a motion, ich was seconded
by Alderman McAllister that the Council adjourn. The motion was passed unanimously
and the Mayor ddeclared�the Council adjourned. ^
