Present: Mayor T S Tribble,Aldermen: Carter, McAllister,Pee1, Shook, Sanders, and Stanford; also,City Engineer E Pd Ratliff, Chief of Police Neil Cruse, and chief of Fire Department, Clyde 41ters. Absent: Alderman: Bynum,and Gregory,.City Attorney Rex Perkins and City Clerk Otoe Phillips. 9.00 Bill10 The following bills were presented: H A StringhamA; Lon Clanton,°$1.25; A F Shumate 418.; Ben Porter $15'.;Fayetteville, Daily Democrat $521.48;Amerlean LeFrance & F Ind., Ind.:$$42.34; Jack Kelley $1.25;Lewis Ward $8.00.e Edw Blank X6.00; Eugene Webb $11.; Farley Gover 41.00; Joe Baker $7.25;J. C. Waits $4.00;H E Hamilton $96009,Salsbury General Shop .3.00; South West Gas & Electric Coo $3.78; South West Gas & Electric Co., $314.10. Alderman Carter moved that the above bills be allowed and that the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the same. This motion was seconded by Alderman Sanders. Upon putting the question, the following vote resulted: Ayes: Alderman Sanders, McAllister, Shook, Peel, Carter, xxxxxxx-and Stanford. Absent and not voting:Alde.rs n Synum and Gregory. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Claim A claim for damages done by the flood water at the corner of Rock st and College for Avenue by J H ticKinney was presentedtto the Council. After due consideration of the Damage: written claim, Alderman Sanders moved that the claim be denied 'This motion was seconded by Alderman Stanford and resulted in the following vote: Ayes: Alderman Sanders, McAllister, Shook, Peel, Carter and Stanford. Absent and not voting: Alderman and Gregory. The Mayor declared the motion carried.. Tractor: Ratliff, Mayor Tribble stated to the Council that the City tractor is in need of repairs, Repairs Oath as Commissioner consisting of one track and one sprocket and that the tractor is out of service of Sewer Improvement District until this can be supplied. Alderman Sanders moved that the matter be referred One, at 9:15 to the Mayor and Street Committee, with power to make the necessary purchase. This motion was seconded by Alderman McAllister and resulted in the following vote.: Ayes: Alderman Sanders, McAllister, Shook, Peel, Carter, Stanford. Nayes: None. Absent and not voting: Alderman Bynum and Gregory. The Mayor declared the motion carried. Sewer Mayor Tribble called attention to the fact that a vacancy existed on the Sewer Board Board in view of the fact that Dr} Drake had not qualified in the time prescribed by law. Vacancy: Alderman Peel moved that E M Ratliff be appointed as member of the Board of Sewer Improvement District Number One of Fayetteville, Ark. This motion was seconded by Alderman 1,icAllister. The Mayor then called for the vote which resulted as follows: Ayes:Alderman Sanders,MeAllister, Shook; Peel, Carter and Stanford. Nayes: None. Absent and not voting Alderman Bynum and Gregory. The Mayor declared the motion adopted, and E M Ratliff is appointed as member of the Board of Improvement District Number One, Fayetteville,Ark. Dairy Dr. J. F. Stanford filed report of his inspection of dairigsand upon motion by Report: Alderman Carter and second by Alderman Peel, the report rgas received and filed.This motion was passau unanimously by the Aldermaen present, and was so declaredby the Mayor; Fire Alderman Stanford as Chairman of the Fire Commi.tte filed 4a<.Oreport on the expense House of material for making repairs onsecond floor of Fire House which included the Repair: furnishing of the material by the City and the labor to be furnished by the FERA. Alderman moved that the report as submitted be approved and adopted and that the Fire Committee be authorized to make the purchases of material when and if the proje-ct�is approved by the F E R A. This motion was seconded by Alderman Shook. The Mayor put the motion and upon roll call the following vote reshlted:Ayes:Alderman Sanders, McAllister, Shook, Peel, Carter and Stanford. Nayes: None.
