Section 7. That by reason of the large number of machines defined in this Ordinance
wh&.ch are being operated in.the.City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, without the payment
of a privilege tax, and the immeddate necessity of raising additional taxes to defray
the necessary expenses fo the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, an approval and publication.
Passed and approved this 2B day of May 1934

No further business Alderman Bynumr9 made the motion that the Council adjourn,
the motion was seconded by Alderman "tanford and rec@ivPd the, -entire-vote of the
Council. The Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

allowed as approved and that the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the same
unon the proper funds. The motion was seconded by Alderman Gregory and carried
unanimously.
Alderman Carter made the motion seconded by Alderman Bvnum that action on the hill
presented by bars. Laura Yegte.r,be carried over the motion carried unanimously.
Arkansas Ice and Cold Storage Co. ask permission of the City Council to erect an
Neon r'alstaff Beer Sipn on top of the Maiestic Cafe. J�lderman Carter made the motion
seconded by Alderman Bynum that this he allowed the same to he under the construction
of the City . gineer. The motion was ,passed unanimously by the Council.
Appointment of V/ T Porter commissioner of North Leverett to fill vacancy of D. N. Keck
was carridd over until next meeting. '
No futther business Alderman Gregory made the motion seconded by Alderman Bynum that
the Council adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.and the Mayor declared the

moved that the bills be allowed as approved and that the Ulerk he inptructed to

By motion of Alderman Gregory seconded by Alderman Stanford the City Attorney was
ordered to bring suit against J H McKinney for tearing down arca retaining wall on
the corner of South-.ol3ege afiA j#oc1C Street on City property. The motion carried
unanimously.
