Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday March 5th, 1934.
Present: Mayor T. S. Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Virgil Ramsey, City
Engineer E. M. Ratliff, Chief Police Neal Cruse, Alderman Bynum, Carter, Greg_,roy,
Harding, Peal, Stanford, Wages.•Absent Sanders.
Minutes of the regular meeting held February 26, 1934, were read an approved.
Bills The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman
of the Auditing Committee: J. A. Barker $21.00, Blair Stationers $100, Ben Porter $15
Allen Strain $3.00, Thomas & Son $18.65, Dale Allen Auto Service $1.50, Fayetteville

Alderman Bynum moved that the bills be allow5d as approved and the Clerk be
instructed to draw warrants for the same upon the proper funds. The motion was
seconded by Alderman Harding and duly passed by the Council.

The matter of purchasing an Over Head door for the Fire Station was brought before
the Council. Alderman Wages presented a letter fromtbhe Over Head Door Co. of Tulsa
Oklahoma, making a price of $206.61 for door to be paid ane -third down and balance
in three monthly payments. Alderman Bynum made the motion that this he accented

by Alderman Harding which was carried unamimously by the Council.
Alderman Peal. Introduced an Ordinance entitled " An Ordinance granting to J. W. Shel]P
a citizen of Favetteville, Arkansas. Heirs, legal representives, sucessors or assigns
the right and priveleges to operate all the necessary equipments and other
appliances over the streets, avenues, allies and public grounds of the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas for the purpose of removing all garbage from the city limits
of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Fixing and defining the terms and conditions of said grant,
The Clerk read the Ordinance the first time in .its entirety. Alderman Bynum moved
that the rules be suspendedand the ordinance be placed on its second reading. The
motion was seconded by Alderman Wages and received the entire vote of the Council.
The Clerk then read the Ordinance the Seoc6nd time. The Ordinance was left on its
second reading.
Mayor Tribble requestedthat the Council transfer $1200.00 from the Street fund to
the mire fund to pay an old existing debt for Fire hose for the Fire Department.
The following was put in f0m of a motion by Carter and Seconded by Alderman
Stanford, and received the entiro cote of the Council.
No further buliness Alderman Wailes made the motion that the Council adjourn,
the motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and received the entire vote of the
Council. The Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

Permission was asked by the Quaker Drug Store and Montgomery Ward and Co
^lectric for installing electric signs. By motion of Alderman Sanders rseconded by Alderman
signs Bynum, and duly passed by the Council permission was granted, same to he under
the supervision of the City 3inspector.

IGarhage I Alderman Ylages moved that the Parbage desposal ordinance be. referred the ordinance
Ord* committee and that a new ordinance be drafted the motion was seconded by Alderman
Sanders and carried unanimously.
