Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday January, 29th, 1934.
Present 1Aavor T. S. Tribble, City Attorney Virgil Ramsey, Alderman, Bynum, Carter,
(.regory, Harding, Peel, Sanders, Stanford'and Wsaes. Absent Otoe Phillips.

Mc Coy Coal Co. $61.75. AldermanSanders moved that the bills be allowed as approved
and the Clerk be instructed to.draw warrants for the same upon the proper funds:
The motion was seconded by 'Alddf%nan Harding and received the unanimous-rvoaecbftthe
Council.
Mayor recommended 't.he+t G. C. Smith to fill vanancy on the board of Commissioners of
Imp. Dist. No. g3 Made vacant by Scott's Resignation. Sanders made the motion
Seconded by Alderman Harding that G. C. Smith be appointed. The motion carried"
receiving the entire vote of the Council.
Dicussion of the appropration f or`the audit of the City's books was passed until
the next session, of the Council.
No furtherhusiness Alderman Sanders made a motion that the Council adjourn.
Alderman Peal seconded the motion which carried unaminougiryand the Mayor declared
the Council ad,jor .d.

Present; Mayor T. S. Trib')le, City Clerk Otoe Phillip, City Attorney Virgil Ramsey, City Fh-
gineer 8. M. Ratliff, Aldermen Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Harding, Peal, Stanford, and
Wages, Absent; Alderman Sanders.
Minutes of the regular meetings as held January 22nd and January 29th, 1934, were
read and approved.
Bills; The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing, Committee; S. We Gas & Electric Co. $6314.10, S. W. Bell Telephone Co.
$628.45, Lewis Bros $2.65, Fayetteville Ptg Co. $0.55, Blair Stationers $60.50, Ark.
Vdestern Gas Co. $$3.80, A. F. Shumate $7.25, Lewis Bros 16.13, Chas Kilpatrick. $2.00,
Smelser & Eason $63.50, Fayetteville Lumber & Cement Co. $13.04, Harry E. Hamilton
$8.55 and 5.85, Allen Strain $1.25, Ben Porter $15500, Thomas.& Scn $64.90, Her�r-
wagen Bros 9.73, A. F. Shumate $$18.000 S. E. Wages 01.50, Fayetteville Lumber &
Cement Co. 85.60, Lewis Bros $?2.83, Campbell & Bell 2.00, Alderman Bynum moved that
the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for
same upon the proper funds. The motion wqs seconded by Alderman Carter and received
the unanimous vote of the Council.
Requests for the installation of Electric signs at McAllister's store and Rader's
Cafe were presented. By motion of Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Bynum, and
duly passed by the Council, the requests were granted, same to be under supervision
of the City Inspector.
The, Mayor named Assistant Fire Chief Winton Davis Acting Fire Chief, such arnoint-
ment to stand until the Present Fire Chief is physically able to resume active duty.
No further business Alderman Peal made a motion that the Council adjourn. The mots
was seconded by Alderman Harding and received the entire vote of the Council, and
Mavor declared the Council adiurned.
