I Reports of i Officials Res . of Burson Resol- ution Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday, January 8, 1934. Mayor T. S. Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Virgil Ramsey, City En- gineer E. M. Ratliff, Aldermen Bynum.' Carter, Gregory, Harding, Peal, Sanders, Stan- ford, Wages. Minutes of the regular meeting held January 1st, 1934, were read and approved. The following bills were MiX presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee; Bohe Gro. $2.51, Henry Walker,.Clerk, $3.00, Mrs. H. L. Pearson $5.00, Ben Porter $15.00 Allen Strain $2.00, Magnolia Pet. Co. $74.97, Gene We'bb $1.20, Montgomery -Ward Co. 67.65, A. F. Shumate $18.00. Fayetteville Machine Shop $0.50. Alderman Carter moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. The motion was seconded by Alderman Harding and carried unanimously. I The financial report of North LeVerett Improvement Dist. No. 1 for the latter half of the year 1933 was presented. By motion of Alderman Bynum, seconded by Alderman Greg- ory, and duly passed by the Council, the report was ordered received and filed. The report of J. F. Stanford, Veterinarian, in compliance with Dairy Ordinance No. 762 was read by the Clerk. Alderman Harding moved that the report be received and filed. The motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and received the entire vote of the Council. A letter from 11. McKinnon of the personnel of the Veterans Hospital inquiring as to the proper procedure for the annexation of the Veterans a,�Ppi� ,,RRe� ervation to the City of Fayetteville, and requesting a definite reply P or' a" Ing made a motion that the City Attorney be instructed to obtain the a ssary information and to reply to the above request. The motion was seconded by Alderman Peal and received the unan- imous vote of the Council. Alderman Gregory made a motion that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a Res- olution asking the Fact -Finding Tribunal to investigate the rates charged by the S. W. .Bell Telephone Co. in the City of Fayetteville. The motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and carried unanimously. No further business Alderman Sanders moved that the Council Adjourn. Alderman Wages seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. O� Attest; —/ Grl� J . Shumate $18.00, Abshire Bryan $39.68, Cravens & Co. $5106.25, Be L Sing J25.00 Alderman Bynum moved that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk he in- structed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. Tribble as Purchasing Agent, Otoe Phillips as City Clerk and as City Collector, Clyde Walters as Fire Chief, Clem Pearson as Police Judge, and Neal Cruse as Ch•i&f of Police. And the annual report of Clyde Walter for year of 1933. Out of Date 1950 ft. Total'.within •date1600 ft. By motion of Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Peal, and duly passed by the Council, the reports were ordered received and filed. The resignation of D. A. Burson as member of Police force was presented. By motion of Alderman Bynum, Seconded By Alderman Wages, and duly passed by the Council the Resignation was accepted. A'resolution pertaining to obtaining aid from the Fact Finding Trihunal in figuring the basis of rates charged by the S. We Bell Telephone Co. was bro!ght up for Dis- cussion. Alderman B:mum moved that the resolution be adopted. Alderman Peal seconded the motion, which carred unamiously. The Resolution, as Adopted. Follows:
