After discussion, Alderman tlardinv, moved that the hill be allowed. The motion was seconded by Aldrrman Peal and received the entire vote of the Council. The High Life Sales Go. asked permission to install two electric signs, one at 400 Flest Dickson Street and the other at 103 North Block Street. No action was taken. No further business, Aldnrman Carter moved that the Council adjourn. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which was duly nassed-by the Council and the ISayor declared the Council adiourned. Alderman Bynum moved that the bills he allowed as nnvrovPd and the Olerk he instructed to draw v+arliants for same anon the prover funds. 'he motion was seconded by Alderman Harding anO received the unanimous vote of the Council. The Hiat Life Sales Co. and the Arkansas Ice e.: Cold Storarre Co. asked rprmission to inetnll electric signs. �To ac*..ion was taken. 11rtnr man J. C. Peal introduced an ordinance ertit.led "An Ordinance nroviding for the, sunnression of radio interference: establishing the office of the City Radio Te'chni- cian, defining his duties and fixing his compensation: providing for penalties for violation and for other nurnoses." The Clerk read the ordinance in its entirety the first time, after which Alderman Sanders made a motion seconded by Alderman Stanford that the rules he susnended and the ordinance nlaced on its second reading. The mo- tion otion carried unanimously and the Glerk react the ordinance the second tire. After discussion Alderman Sanders moved that the rules he further susnended and the ordi- nance nla(,ed on its third and final reading. Alderman Gregory seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Clerk read the ordinance the third and final time. The, 1wiayor then nut the question "Shall the ordinance pass". On the Clerk's calling, the roll. the following vote resulted; Ayes: None, Nays; Bynum, Greg=ory, Harding, Peal, Sanders, Stanford, and t7ages. Absent and not voting; Carter. The Arayor declared the ordinance lost as there were 7 nays and no ayes. The report of J. F. Stanford, Veterinarian, in comol.iance vd th Dairy Ordinance Wo. 762 war read by the Clerk. By motion of Alderman Bynum, seconded by Alderman Wages, and duly oassed by the Council, the report was ordered received and filed. City 7npineer 7. 11, liatliff stated that he had Presented the airnort nroject; to Mr. Taylor of the C17A who seemed in favor of such project but could not wive definite in- formation till he had received further instructions. Alderman J. K. Grerrory made a report to the Council relative to the opening of the Fast end of Dickson St;rnet as follows; That the nroi)orty owned by Joe Wanuel takes up half or the street and that a lot can be purchased from the Len Hayes estate and the 1"anuel horse moved to such location, and that he. would have drlfinite information flop the consideration of tine Coancil at the next meeting?. Alderman Gregory stated that so many C17e1 nro,jects on hand makes the work too heavy for one man to handle, and made a motion that the Mavor, the Chairman of the Street Com- mittee, and the City T'ngineer select a man with meads of transportation to work for and with the favor in bandling? the C17A projects-- nay to come from CPrA or the Street Fund. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the Coun- cil. .io further business, Alderman Gregory moved that the Colmcil adjourn.
