Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Virgil Ramsey, City I;n gineer r. M. Ratliff, Chief of Police Ideal Cruse, Aldermen Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Hardinr, Peal, Stanford, and Wages. Absent, Alderman Sanders, minutes of the regular meeting held June 19th, 1933, were read and approved. Bills: The following; bills vier=, presented aftor their approval by Alderman Peal Chairman of the Auditing Committee; S. P1. Gas & Electric Co. 54314.10, Ben Porter 68.00, Rock Street G:•o. $1.00, A. F. Shumate $18.00. Alderman Hardirv,trade a motion which was seconded by Alderman Bynum that the hills he allowed as nnnrovpd and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the rirorer funris. This motion was duly nassed '�y the Council and the Mayor so declared. Rnr+ort o' The report of the City Attorney as to the legality of collecting 51.00 fee from City Att'•r: defendants and nayinf same to the arresting officer was read by the Clerk, his findinvs showing such procedure to be illegal according to statute. By motion of A1dnrman,Wages, seconded by Alderman Harding, and duly nassed by the Council, the report was ordered received and filed. The electrical.ordinance and the privilege tax ordinance were carried over. Sentic The Council by unanimous vote granted e. P. Pyeatt permission to i.rstall_ a septic Tank: tart- at Rock and West Street as the property is more than 300 feet from snwer main this nernit to be under surervision of the City rn gineer and with the provision that connection be maHd with sewer when such line was placed within reach of property Alderman Stanford moved that the Council adjourn. This motion was duly passed by the Council and Alderman Stanford was seat- ed as Mayo;- Pro Tem. Present: City Clerk Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Virril'Ramsey, Chief of Police Neel Cruse, Aldermen Byrnrr, Carter, Gregory, Harding, Peal, Stanford, and Wages. Absent: Mayor Tribble and Alderman Sanders. Minutes of the regular meeting held June 12th, 1933, were read and approved. Bills: The following bills were presented after their 'approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: Arkansas Count:riTran $12.75, S. l^J. Bell Telephone Co. 428.60, 0. F. Gibson $0.35, Fayetteville Lumber & Cement Co. ?25.25, A. F. Shumate 518.00. Alderman Harding nude a motion seconded by Ald•rman Bynum that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk he instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion recei red the entire vote of the Council, Ordinances: The proposed electrical ordinance and the privilege tax ordinance were carried over. Septic A request by F. P. Pyeatt to install a septic tank at Rock and West Street was pre - Tank: sented. By notion of ,1lderman 4'lages seconded by Alderman Carter, and duly passed by the Council, the matter was referred to the Board of Health. C. B. Frank -P. A statement of assessments due in South College Avenue Improvement District No. 1 payment: and Allev Improvement District Ivo. 40 for three years each and amounting, to $423.04 was read by the Clerk, this ohliaation heing assumed by XXX action of the Council November 11th, 1929, as per agreement with C. R. Franke for an alley MI)E right-of- way in Block 29, Original Fayetteville. A motion was made by Alderman 1Pap.a that the Mayor be instructed to carry out the terms of the above avreernent entered into on November 11th, 1929, assessments now amounting to 5)423.04. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the Council present. Reports Reports of the following City Oft'icials for the. 1'onth of May were read by the Clerk: d'f T. S. Tribble as Purchasing Agent, Otoe Phillips as Clerk and as Collector, Clem Officia s: Pearson as Police Judge, and Neal Cruse as Chief of Police.
