Present:
Fayetteville. City Council met in regular session Monday, June 5th, 1933.
Mayor T. S. Tribble, City Attorney Virgil Ramse.7:, Chief of Police Neal Cruse, Alder-
men Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Harding, Peal., Sanders, and Wages. Absent, Alderman Stan-
ford and Citv Clerk Otoe Phillips.
The City Clerk being absent because of illness, the Council by unanimous vote elected
City Attorney Virgil Ramsey as acting City Clerk for the meeting,.
Minutes for the meeting held May 29th, 1933, were not afailable as they were locked
in the City Clerks office.
Bills: The following hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee; Lewis Bros. $7.38, Abshier-Bryan $p16.56, Montgomf,ry-Ward 1114.
Eugene Webb $3.20, Earl Stewart $9.60, Bohe Gro. $4.50, A. F. Shumate $18.00, Bond
& Son 45.50, L. & (7. Tire Co. $1.50, L. & G. Tire Co. 04.10. A motion was made by
Alderman Harding that the bills he 'plowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed
to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion was seconded by Alderman
Wages and received the entire vote of the Council.

Privileg Attorney Price Dickson offered for discussion an Ordinance fixing a privilege tax�o p
Tax; certain businesses and oscupations in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. After dis-
cussion a motion was male by Alderman Carter that the matter be referred to the or-
dinance Committee and the City Attorney. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum
and received the entire vote of the Council.

approved.

Bills:
The following, bills were presented after their approval by Aldermarl Peal, Chairman of

Magnolia Pet. Co. $14.20, Chas Saurey $2.00, Wood & Fishhack ,4'0.80, Heerwagen Bros.
$6.119 A. F. Shumate "18.00. Alderman Harding made a motion seconded by Aldermar
Carter that the bills he allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw
warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion was duly, passed by the Council
and the Mavor so declared.

Ordinanc
: An ordinance was introduced by hldr:rman Stanford entitled"An Ordinance requiring
Master FlPetricians to furnish bonds: and reducing the cost of license for Journey=
men Electricians". The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk. Alderruan
Harding made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Gregory that the rules be sus-
pended and the Ordinance be placed on its second readi-ng. This motion received 'the
entire vote, of the Council and the Clerk then read the, Ordinance the second time.
Alderman Wages then imide a motion that the ordinance Ise referred to the Ordinance
Committee, the City Attorney, and the Electrical Inspector. The motion was seconded
by Alderman Carter and received the entire vote of the Council present.

Mrs Calvin Rohannon asked permission to install a septic tank at her residence at
216 South Duncan. The matter was referred to the City Health Officer and the City
Engineer.
Jas. Dinwiddie asked permission to cut the curb at 726 West Maple Street. By motion
of Alderman R�mum, seconded by Alderman ?!ages, and duly passed by the Council, this
permit was granted, srr;ie to be urder supervision of the City Frugineer.
C. R. Franke asked the Council to fulfill an agreement between himself and the City
wherebv the City was to assume certain Improvement District assessments in consider-
ation of right-of-way for an alley. The matter was referred to the City Attorney.
A motion to adjourn made ''y Alderman Wages and seconded by Alderman Bynum was duly
passed by the
