Tribble, City Attorney Virgil Ramses, Chief of Police Neal Cruse, Alder- men Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Harding-, Peal., Sanders, and Wages. Absent, Alderman Stan- ford and Citv Clerk Otoe Phillips. The City Clerk being absent because of illness, the Council by unanimous vote elected City Attorney Virgil Ramsey as acting City Clerk for the meeting,. Minutes for the meeting held May 29th, 1933, were not a"ailable as they were locked in the City Clerks office. Bills; The following hills were nresented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing_ Committee; Lewis Bros. $7.38, Abshier-Bryan $'16.56, Montgomnry-Ward 1114. Eugene Webb $p3.20, Earl Stewart $9.60, Bohe Gro. $4.50, A. F. Shumate $18.00, Bond & Son 46;5.50, L. L G. Tire Co. $51.50, L. rr. G. Tire Co. 0.10. A motion was made by Alderman Harding that the bills be 'illowed as approved and the, Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion was seconded by Alderman Wages and received. the entire vote of the Council. Permit. tl The following, hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of Mr. Stonecipher asked permission to cut the Curb at 510 N. Walnut. By motion of Alders cut curb; warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion was duly passed by the Council man Gregory, seconded by Alderman Carter, and duly passed by the Council, this permit WalnutI was granted, same to be under supervision of the City Engineer. Permit to Sid Benton asked permission to cut curb at his property between Meadow and S n on,9 cut curb North Block Street. By motion of Alderman Bynum, seconded by Alderman Harding, s N. Blocks permit was granted, same to be under supervision of the City Engineer. W„ Privilege Attorney Price Dickson offered for discussion an Ordinance fixing, a privilege taxon T•ix: certain businesses and occupations in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. After dis- cussion a motion was made by Alderman Carter that the matter be referred to the or- dinance Committee and the City Attorney. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and received the entire vote of the Council. A motion to adjourn made by 'llderman Peal and seconded by Alderman Carter was duly nassed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. Attest: City Cler1f. Approved: Mayor. Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday, June 12th, 1933. Present: Mayor T. S. Trihrle, City Clerk. Otoe Phillips, City Attorney Virgil Ramsey, Chief of Police Neal Cruse, Aldermen Bynum, Carter, Gregory, Harding, Peal, Stanford; and Wage Absent: Alde-man Sanders. Minutes of the regular meetings as held May 29th and June 5th, 1933, were read and approved. Bills: The following, hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of the Auditing Committee: Bohe Gro Co. $2.60, Babe Gro. Co. $0.90, Thomas & Son $6.25, Magnolia Pet. Co. $j14.20, Chas Saurey $y2.00, Wood & Fishhack x`0.80, Heerwagen Bros. ?6.11, A. F. Shumate :.4•18.00. Alderman Harding made a motion seconded ')v Aldermar Carter that the hills he allowed as approved and the Clerk he instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion was duly passed by the Council and the Mavor so declared. Electrical Ordinance: An ordinance was introduced by Aldorman Stanford entitled"An Ordinance requiring Master Electricians to furnish bonds: and reducing the cost of license for Journey= men Rlectricinns". The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk. Alderman Harding made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Gregory that the rules be sus- pended and the Ordinance be placed on its second reading. This motion received 'the entire vote of the Council and the Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time. Alderman Mages then m•ide a motion that the ordinance '•e referred to the Ordinance' Committee, the City Attorney, and the Electrical Inspector. The motion was seconded by Alderman Carter and received the entire vote of the Council present. , Mrs Calvin Bohannon asked permission to install a septic tank at her• residence at 216 South Duncan. The matter was referred to the City Health Officer' and the Citv rngineer. Jqs. Dinwiddie asked permission to cut the curh at 726 West Maple Street. By motion of Alderman Rvnum, seconded by Alderman ??ages, and duly gassed by the Council, this permit was granted, sasiui to be under supervision of the City Engineer. C. B. Franke asked the Council to fulfill an agreement between himself and the City where',v the Citv was to assume certain Improvement District assessments in consider- ation of right-of-way for an alley. The matter was referred to the City Attorney. A motion to adjourn made 'y Alderman Vlages and seconded by Alderman Bynum was duly Urised by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.
