Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 393 of the
City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, and
for
other purposes".
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayettevi.11.e,•Arkansas:
Section One: Amend Ordinance No. 393, passed and approved June 2nth, 1919,
and recorded in the Ordinance Record Book of 1909 at page 535, to read as follows:
"That the license .or permit for each skating rink and bowling alley operated within
the corporate limits of the City of Fayettevi;le, Arkansas, shall he Fifty Dollars
per year, or a part of a year, to be paid in advance, and that no license or permit
shall he issued by the month".
Section Two: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed, and that this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, approval, and publication.
Passed and approved this the 15th day of May, 1983,

Section One: Injury to electrical apparatus. Whoever shall unlawfully, ma-
liciously and intentionally injure or destroy or permit to be injured or destroyed
sny meter, nipe,'conduit, wire, line, pole, lamp, or other apparatus belonpinp, to
any person, firm, or corporation engaged in the manufacture or sale of electricity
for light, heat, power, or any other purpose., within the corporate limits of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon con-
viction before the Police. Judge shall be. fined in any sum not exceeding $100.00 or
Imprisoned not exceeding one year or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section Two: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in .force from and
after its passatte, approval and publication.

G. A. Hurst appeared before the. Council relative ro the request of Homer Crisman
that the City refund $35.00 of the $p50.00 skating Rink license puchase..d by him for
one. year. After discussion, Alderman Gregory moved that the Mayor and City Attorney
be authorized to handle this matter, and be riven power to act. This motion was secon
ded t,y Aldern:err. Carter and received the unanimous vote of the Council.

to Bryan Motor Co. for the purpose of repairing broken

M. Ratliff, Chief of Police Neal Cruse, Aldermen Bynum, Carter, Gregory,

Harding,, Peal, Stanford, and Wages. Absent: Alderman Sanders.
Minutes of the regular meeting held May 15th, 1933, were.read and approved.
Rills:
The.. following, bills were *•resented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman
of the Auditina Committee: J. F. Rieff $10.00, Rock Street Gro. $;2.50, A. F..Shumate
$18.00, Alderman Bynum moved that the bills he allowed as approved and the Clerk be
instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. This motion was seconded
by Alderman harding and receil-ed the entire vote of the Council.
The proposed Ordinance amending the existing Dairy Ordinance was carried over.

The Ordinance introduced on May 15th entitled "An Ordinance to prohibit the injury

to electrical apparatus, and for other purposes" was discussed. Alderman Wages made
a motion seconded by Alderman Carter, that the Ordinance be placed on its third and
final reading. This motion was duly passed by the Council and the Clerk read the Or-
dinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put the question "Shall the Ordi.nanc
Dass". On the Clerk's calling the roll the following vote resulted: Ayes, Bynum, Car-
ter, Gregory, Harding, Peal, Stanford, and. Wages. Nays, none. Absent and not voting:
Sanders. The ?,favor declared the Ordinance vassed.
