Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday May 1st, 1033.
Present:

Minutes of the regular meeting, held April 24th, 193:5, were read and approved.
Bills:
The .following hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Peal, Chairman of
the Auditing Committee: Ark. Western Gas Co. $2.66, Eason & Co. $10.00, S. B. Hanna
$1.25, Thomas & Son d`3.55, Dr. E: F.'Ellis $5.40, J. T. Kell $6.00, Eugene Webb $2.40,
Earl Ste''virt $?..40,'Ben Porter $4.00, Heerwagen Bros. 912.00, Henrwagen Bros. $4.221
D. A. Burson $11.00, A. F. Shumate $$18.00, Fayettovi.11e Drug Co. $15.12.. Alderman By-
num made a motion which was seconded by Al.dermar Gregory that the hills be allowed as
hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall take effect and he in force from and after
approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same uron the proper funds.
This motion received the entire vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared.

A request from J. E. Parker to cut the curb at his residence, 308 Sutton Street, for

a driveway was presented to the Council. Alderman Carter moved that this Permit be
granted, same to be under the supervision of the City Engineer. Alderman Peal seconded

An ordinance was introduced by Alderman J. K. Gregory entitled "An Ordinance to amend
No. 754.
Ordinance No. 749 of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and for other Purposes."
The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk. Alderman Sanders made a motion

seconded by Alderman Bynum that the rules he suspended and the Ordinance be placed on
its second reading. This motion received the entire vote of the Council present and
depository for the City of Fayetteville, whereupon it was ordered that notice be Pub-

which was seconded by Alderman Stanford that the rules he further suspended and the

Council and the Clerk read the Ordinance the third and final time. The Mayor then put

Jas. Dinwiddie, Building and Plumbing Inspector, crave an interesting and instructive
talk on the Pll.imbing Ordinance and violations of same, stating his intention of keep-
ing after the matter until the defections are corrected.
A motion to adjourn made by Alderman Wages and seconded by Alderman Peal was duly
Passed by the /Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
Section One: Amend Ordinance Number 749 by striking the date' 1935 where -ever
it arrears in Sections One and Nine, and inserting in lieu thereof the date 1934.
Section Two: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed, and this Ordinance shall take effect and he in force from and after
its passage., aPoroval, and Publication.

y: The Clerk called attention to Act 309, Acts of Arkansas, 1913, pertaining to the
depository for the City of Fayetteville, whereupon it was ordered that notice be Pub-
lished according to said Act.
Truck
The City Attorney reported his findings as to .license fees due from trucks owned with -
License:
in the City of Fayetteville and used 'or hauling Produce etc in and out of the City.
According to such findings, the license fees for such trucks Bi4iAKAX are the same as
the regular schedule, and the Collector was so instructed.

Albert Price presented a petition to the Council asking that Real Estate Dealers 11 -

next meeting of the Council.
