Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday February 27th, 1933.
Present: Flavor T. S. Tribble, City Clerk Otoe Phillips, Cit )r Attorney V. James Ptak., City Fr-
gineer E. It. Ratliff, Chief of Police Ileal Cruse, Aldermen Barr, Bynum, Carter, Greg-
ory, Harding, Sanders, Stanford, and Wages.
Minutes of the rerrular meeting held February 20th, 1.933, were road and approved.
' Bills; The following hills were presented after their approval by Alderman Parr, Chairman
of the Auditing Committee, whereupon Alderman Harding moved that the bills he allow-
ed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the Tnrop—
er Funds. Alderman Carter seconded the motion which received the entire vote of the
Council and the Fiayor so declared. Earl Barton $2.50, Ben Porter $12.00, A. F. Shu-
mate 030.00.
Ordinanc : The proposed ordinance entitled "An Oridnarce to amend sections One, Two, and Three
or Ordinance No. 611" which was left on its second reading, was brought to the atten-
tion of'the Council. Alderman Bynum made a motion, which was seconded by Alderman
Sanders, that the Orddnance he placed on its third and final reading.' This motion
received the unanimous vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared and instructed
the Clerk to read the ordinance the third and final time, which was done. The Mayor
then put the question "Shall the Ordinance pass". Upon the Clerk calling the roll
the following vote resulted: Ayes, Barr, Carter, and Stanford. Nays, Bynum, Grer*ory,
Harding, Sanders, and Wages. The Mayor declared the Ordinance lost as there were
3 ayes and 5 nays.

Ordinance: The Ordinance amending Ordinance No, 618 was brought before the Council. By motion
of Alderman Carter, seconded by Alderman Sanders, and duly passed by the Council,
It was again left on its second reading.

Pssessmen The Committee appointed to investinate the raise in Mrs. Sallie H. Peck's Water Im-
;rs. Peck: provement assessment reported that they find her residence to he outside the Corpo-
rate. limits of the City of Fayetteville. Alderman Warfes made a motion seconded by
Alderman Harding that the assessment he placed back to the original assessed bene-
fits of '$1n0.On, and the Clerk he instructed to notify the Commissioners to make
such change. This motion received the unanimous vote of the Council and the Mayor
so declared and instructed the Clerk.
Payment
to Aldernro. Sanders tirade a motion, which was seconded by Alderman Harding, that a pay-
arl an ment of $133.20 he made to Farl Hand as partial payment of expendes incurred by him
in operations on his hand which was injured while in the employ of the City of Fay -
etteville, leaving a balance of $200.0 to he paid at 50.00 per month. This motion
received the entire vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared.
Burson
Salary: D. A. Burson requested that the City pay him full salary of $60.00 for the month of
February as his absence was caused by injuries received while on duty as night pa-
trolman for the City of Fayetteville. Alderman Bynum moved that this claim he allow
ed, providing that D. A. Burson sign a release relieving the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, from further claims relative to above mentioned injuries. This motion re-
ceived the unanimous vote of the Council and the Mayor so declared.
A *notion to adjourn made by Alderman Harding and seconded by Alderman Stanford was
duly passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

Thm proposed Ordinance extending the Fire Zone was carried over.
The hid of "Inver Powers of 047.10 for Moving the asphalt plant was ordered received.

A motion to adjourn made Iny Alderman Harding and seconded by Alderman Bynum was duly
passed 1�y the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.
