cil the following vote result:od: Ayes: Rarr, Rynum, Carter, Harding, Sanders, Stan-
ford, and Wages: Nasrs: Gregory. The Aiayor declared the motion passed as there were
7 ayes and 1 nay.
A petition oris nresented by J. D. Eagle and Victor 1?. Russum relative to the increase
in sewer lfXXXX tax of approximately 2n% and requesting the Courcil to investigate thn
matter. The Council deferred action until the citizens furnish information as to the
delinquents and assessrrien.ts in gewerDistrict No. 1.
F. T:i. Ratliff stated thatfor the City to receive its share of the unemnloymert relief
off Fred by the Reconstruction Finance Cornoration it is necessary for the City to
furnish all surrlies needed for street work, and someone should be. empowered to sign
such guarantees. Alderman Gregory made a motion, which was seconded by Alderman
Harding, that the 13ayor he authorized to sign all rapers necessary to obtain above
Relief. The Council unanimously passed the motion and the Mayor so declared.
Alderman Sanders made a motio,1 seconded by Alderman 3;rnum that the. Council. ad.iourn.
This Votion received their unanimous vote and the Mayor declared. tl-e Council
adjourned.
