Fayetteville City Council met in regular.session Monday July 11,1932,
Present: Mlyor.T.S.Tribble,City Clerk Wm.F.Dunn,City Attorney V.James P.tak,City Engineer E.M,.Ratliff,
CI ief of Police Neal Cruse,Aldermen Barr,Bynum,Gregory,Harding,Stanford,& Wsg es4Carter.
Absent Alderman Sanders*
of the regular meeting as held on July 4th 1932 were read and approved by the unaminous
vote of the Council.

Alderman Bynum made a motion that was seconded by kffide@manell-Wages that the report be
calved and the Clerk be instructed to -file the same in.its proper manner.Upon the question

iting Committee,whereupon Alderman Harding made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Bynum
that the bills be allowed as approved and the Clerk be instructed to.draw warrants upon
the proper funds for the payment of th same.Upon the question being put before the Council,
it received their unaminous vote and the Mayor so declared and .instructed the C1erk.B1118:

.im Deed:Mr.A.L.Trent appeared before the Council and explained to them that Prospect
Avenue in City Park Addition to the City of Fayetteville.was 60.feet wide at College
Avenue and 140 feet wide where it connected at.Park Avenue.and that for the considerat
set out in a quit Claim deed which gave him all of land -both north.and south of Prospe
wide
Avenue after the same had been made 60 feet clear through from College Avenue to Park
Avenue* that he would grant the right away across his lands as described in the quit cl
deed for the water line to be run to the Veterns Hospital when the same was needed or
desired also that he would have the right to make service connections to this line under
the rules of the City Water P1ant.Alderman Carter then made a motion that was seconded b

Alderman Stanford that the Mayor and City Clerk be duly authorized to make the quit Cla
deed to the property as described in the deed and have the same properly recorded.Upon
question being- put before the Council,it received their unaminous.-vote and the Mayor so

thait the Committee had held a meeting in regard to the contract as held by Shumate & W
and that Mr.Williams wished to quit and asked for advice of the Council.After some disc

of the matter Alderman Gregory made a motion that was seconded .by Alderman Harding,that the
Citi Attorney be instructed to draw up an assignment of his interest in the Contracy to
Mr.E.F.Shumate and that Mr.E.F.Shumate be held wholly responsible for the fullfillment
of the original contract.Upon the question being put before the Council,it received the
unaminous vote and the Mayor so declared and instructed the City Attorney.
Alderman Gregory made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Bynum that the Council
adjourn,Upon the question being put before the Council,it received their unaminous vote
and the Mayor declared the Council as adjourned.
